otterville will be running 4wd sct along with the barnyard i believe. for those in southwestern ontario or those that want to make the trip. make short course great again
The steering is very aggressive on the EB48.3/SCT410.3. We are now seeing Pro driver Ryan Maifield is using the old .3 ackerman plate on his new Tekno 2.1 racers for most steering on his 2023 setup sheets.
By the popularity of this truck, it seems I got a wicked deal on a used roller, with a bunch of spares and 4 sets of tires for $80 canadian! Thats about $55usd!! Yeaaa monnnn.............
do the front arm sweep mod, itll calm down the nose diving. I have green springs on the back too. best SCT out there bar none. I picked up the SL as well, that car would be perfect on your indoor track
Sadly I got lied to a bit. Didn’t realize till recently that is an original SCT410 until I saw an SCT410.3 beside mine to compare them. I have some upgrades, but all the older parts on mine. Runs well, but I’m disappointed in myself for not checking. looking now and seeing a few used SCT410.3 on marketplace are actually old original SCT now that I know what to spot. A-ARMs are smooth on bottom of .3 and I have older arms. Also the hinge pin blocks and inserts are square on .3. Mine are oval.
@@netcruzercan you use .3 parts on a regular 410? Recently bought a rear shock tower just to find out it was not the same as the one on my truck. Found out it was a 410 not a .3
I'm thinking about getting one, they are on sale for only 320$ on the tekno website. My only hesitation is the fact that it's been out for many years now and I'm concerned about finding parts in the future. Do you think I can find parts for the next few years even if they discontinue this model? Nice video thanks
I hope so, Tekno says the new SCT410SL is not meant to replace the 410.3. So as far as I know, it’s not discontinued and parts will continue to be available for quite some time. Not that you’ll need them, the old 410.3 is a tank.
Depends on the price you can get it for. They are all good, but the older SCT410 and SCT410.3 models are now discontinued and parts supply will dry up eventually. The SCT410 2.0 is completely different and handles better in the air.
@@netcruzer Good point on the parts…a guy in our group has the new 2.0 and it is awesome. It s not really in the budget and we just race on a backyard track. I m running a 4wd Slash which is fun but wouldn t mind stepping up some. I found a 300$ roller for 410.3, was wondering if i should do it.Thx for responding John.

What a nice truck you got! Definitely has potential for sure!

Glad you picked this up. Im currently running it as well. Will be nice to see how you set it up.
Would love to see sct 4x4 comeback

Wow! Incredible deal
What motor mounts do I need to be able to put a 1/8 motor on my Tekno SCT410.3?
can you help me? I would appreciate it very much.
greetings.

I also run the Proline Flotek body, has a lot of holes and comes pretek, just paint and mount.

I see this video is only 1 year old, is this truck still a good buy? There are 2 newer Tekno models at this point I believe. THX

Got this from FB marketplace, but then learned it was also a TH-camr owned truck, Channel AC /RC - @andybcardoso1978
Reverse is not allowed in real racing
Yes, I race often. Having reverse is very nice when on an open track day fooling around.
