I personally disagree entirely that you have to choose a meta class, I personally would always choose what you like playstyle wise, at least for your main, afterall, you will play this character the most, you should enjoy it. The only 2 classes I would consider not choosing is Demonic Shadowhunter and any Sorceress, because their state is so bad currently that they actually might be gatekept. Also the Gold Chest at 7:35 that holds the most value over the average is the middle chest, I have played since release, and I have done Una Tasks every week, and I have NEVER seen the biggest Gold Bar and for the first year I opened the big Boxes every week, the most value on average comes from the middle Gold Chest!!! The highest 3 value Weekly Una Tasks are the 2 PVP for Leapstones and Cube for Leapstones, however I personally do not like PVP, so I do Cube Leapstones, Guardian Leapstones and Chaos Dungeon Shards Weeklys (because they are really easy). BUT doing the Cube one is super fast and effective! While honing if you realize you want to play the game in the future, I would not advise using any Lucky Materials when honing until you are at least 1580!! Those things hold tremendous value later on. Also only use the Lucky Materials for your Weapon, it is always cheaper in the long run to just hone a Armor piece normally. The books you should use on the later level that it is still applicable onto your gear while honing. The level 7 gems you get are great, later on while upgrading go straight to lvl 9 Damage gems, because the gold tied to real lvl 8 gems is way too much compared to the power you get! Technically the best way to get gold from Life Skilling is Excavating (but its pretty difficult), in the long run fishing is easy and lots of gold too, because its needed for Fusion Materials!!!! Apart from this good video for beginners, nice one for helping out some Mokokos.
2:53 - pretty sure the set can be swapped via the "Gear Set Conversion" button on player character profile. Correct me if I'm wrong. The fused leapstones (11:45) can be upgraded 5:1 at legion raid vendor. Don't throw them away.
You are correct, i just looked up as i saw this comment. You also need to complete the quest "What is gear set conversion" and that will open up a button in your character screen. Which i found quite stupid considering that as a new player you are very unlikely to figure it out right away, you will more than likely think you simply messed up. Even after playing so long i still had no idea this was a thing, im not sure why it's not just in your character screen as default, but there we go :) Thank you for correcting me!
The reason it's not there as a default is probably because to unlock it you need to get certain amount of valtan/vykas currency, which is skipped by the pass.@@Ace_Gaming4
I would strongly recommend not worrying about what is "Meta" and picking a class that you find enjoyable. Every single class can complete any of the content in the game and balance patches are quite frequent, so the "top meta" classes right now will not be the same in a couple of months. And if you pick a class purely because its meta, then you might be very upset if it gets nerfed or if other things get buffed and start out performing it. Whereas if you pick a class that you really enjoy, then it doesn't matter if it gets buffs/nerfs. Plus you are more likely to learn the ins and outs of the class. Pick something that you find fun, everything else will take care of itself.
I just started the game yesterday! Very late I know. I’m a big overwatch player and I wanted to try something else out. And dear god I love it. I’m playing the artist class and it’s really fun. I see u can skip and go all the way to endgame but the story is so good I don’t mind grinding through it all lol
Enjoy the story if you have story express, it's a good one and it's fun to go thru regions, because end game is completely different, very hard and very time consuming. The story and regions for me was the best part of this game, enjoy while it lasts. As for the class you should be ok-ish in the end game, your class is a support class and there is nearly always a shortage of supports, so you should be good on that front. Because end game is not possible to play solo in anyway, be prepared to have a lot of patience. Just know that whatever you will play now thru story and regions will have 0 impact on end game and you will learn 0 things aside how your character works and that's it, so just treat almost like a separate thing, enjoy it and once you get into the end game a whole different gameplay will begin, which will be MUCH harder so be ready for steep learning curve
@@Ace_Gaming4 thanks. I hit level 50 yesterday and made it through the first main part and I’m at the next city thing. I hit the 665 power requirement for it. And I’m just chillin. I figured the endgame is so much diffrent. Learning how to use all these diffrent engrams and stuff is weird. I just find the game a lot of fun tbh. I really wanna get to the endgame and start gearing up but I don’t wanna rush it. Also how will I know what to do if I just pass my character to the max thing. Also how long would it take me just to reach Elgacia or beyond it to the end game. Sorry for the long question
if you have a powerpass, look around what class you would like and you can use it right away(on another character) the story will teach you nothing, like i said, treat it like a separate thing and just enjoy the lore and have 2 characters at the end game. Once you use powerpass you will get into end games yes, but also the end game is only the beginning of the game if that makes sense, because it makes everything you did before obsolete. This whole game revolves around raids, to get to next tier of raids you need higher item levels, for that you need gold and materials, and the most constant ways to make that is raids and few other things i mention in the guide. This game unfortunately also has roster system which is terrible but there is no way around it, so having more characters that can do raids is good because the gold is shared between characters and so that means you can feed that gold into your main character, so don't be afraid to use power pass because they do expire, be sure to check the dates (i think i character menu screen you can see what you have) As far as how long it will take to get to end game with the character you chose to go the "normal" way hard to say, but i'd say each region is at least good 4-5hrs long, some more some less, but you can expect at least 30-40hrs of story before you get to the end game for sure. As far how will you know what to do when you power pass you character, well truth be told it's just gonna be a steep learning curve no way around it, but to put it simply gold gold gold, that's the number one most important thing you will need and need a lot. you will struggle to get into raids because nobody will want you because every single raid has 1mistake team wipe mechanics, so you will need to watch guides on youtube for each raid, then find (or create) learning group parties and hope that somebody who knows what to do is willing to spear the time and help newbies out and just slowly learn your way around them. honestly the end game is just an endless cycle of upgrading gear to get to next raid and the repeat until you reach the last raid and from there onwards it's just repeating raids to upgrade gear to see higher numbers i guess. Unfortunately there isn't really any other content to do but raids and abyss raids(which is the same really) you could try the tower which is slightly different and offers good rewards but it's a one time thing once you finish it. you can also gather which is an easy way to make some extra gold (lullaby island best place) but even that has limited time that you can do, not sure what else to recommend. I wont talk about dailies because that's not really a content, that's something you will at some point start to hate probably anyway since nobody likes to do THE SAME thing everyday so like i said before, the story and journey across continents for me (and honestly i believe a lot of people) is one of the best parts of the game, but it is a one time thing so.. just enjoy it i guess. Hope that answers at least a few of your questions!
@@Ace_Gaming4 ^ thank you that helped. Just one more thing. If I make a new charcter do I have to re do all of my gear honing and ya know those things u put in ur gear. And all that side stuff that boosts up ur gear and character? Does anything transfer to an alt character if I power pass another character do I have to start from scratch with everything. I heard that yearning set whatever that is good for artist. Is that a hard set to grind for? Should I wait till endgame to grind it. Sorry lol Also if I power pass a charcter should I make them my main and just use my artist as a story side charcter😂😂
so if you use PP on another character, the current pp will get you to elgacia with 1460gear, some jewelry and Engravings support which will help you out a lot until it ends and then you will need to get engravings yourself. So even with character you PP you will still have to do a little bit of story. Also you will be able to immediately use that character in super mokoko express which will help you to get to 1580, it will give quite a lot of gold and materials, do keep in mind that can only be done on one character so make sure in creation screen to test it out to make sure you are likely to enjoy it. Some classes are way more difficult to play then others, id suggest watching a class guide to have some idea. as far what kind of set to use and so on, each class has it's own requirements and usually each class can go a couple ways, here's a good place to check: www.lostark.nexus Now something like gear transfer to another class is impossible, you cant sell it or anything so changing main character class can be very long, time and effort consuming thing, so like i said before, make sure you enjoy what you create. To answer if you should make the character you PP as your main, while you don't have to, but you should yes, you use PP, then use super mokoko express on it and you can immediately do the end game content and start progressing thru item levels. First two raids you will be able to do just after using PP will be valtan and vykas, but i would not recommended doing vykas first because it's much much more annoying, nobody really likes it and it's rather hard, but valtan is a very good raid to understand how this game works, everything after that starts to get way more difficult. Also keep in mind when you look for raid parties nobody uses match, use party finder. Remember you will fail god knows how many times before you and your party of noobs will complete your learning raids, that is ok, but some people will be toxic about it with not patience, so don't let them get into your head. otherwise if you have any more questions be my guest
Great video, something i would add is if your main focus is honing then its fine to use tradable materials. If its not i wouldnt really sell them because right now anything below the current leap stones dont sell for much so i honestly feel like youd be better off keeping them until your ready to hone. You can think about selling the current ones when your caught up
The quality of your trade skill tools actually matters quite a lot, especially for the fishing, excavating, and hunting trade skills used for crafting orehas. The higher quality tool the more lines you get and the better chance you have to get good lines like basic reward+, rare reward+, mini game difficulty decrease, or mini game reward+. These make quite a huge difference in terms of rewards and ease, especially the fishing mini game which can be very difficult without the difficulty decrease. Also if you really want to maximize gold from trade skills I'd recommend one of the ones used to craft oreha because you can either use it to save gold crafting the mats or sell them to gain gold depending on which is more efficient at the time. Because of that double use they're more worthwhile than wood imo. Also make sure you keep an eye on your world tree leaves collectibles since the charm reward from them, and its subsequent upgrades, increases the amount of rewards you get by a flat% scaling up to 40% at max.

Oh and you cant raid solo either, you cant even go in without 4 to 8people depending on raid.
