Marl Steyn has now been sacked from GB News - not for anything he's done, but because they wanted to renew his contract making him responsible for any legal action if he upsets Ofcom. He quite rightly refused.

A fascinating history lesson Neil. I’m left with a sense that for all the religious differences, political turmoil, a new prayer book and the usual greed of the gentry, where we are today came down to heartbreaking child mortality amongst the Royals and jiggery pokery designed to find a healthy heir to the throne. In the end it was Fate that decided!

We have a local Cathedral in Wales. St David was a real person in 600ad. He founded the religious community that is now the place of the Cathedral. So it has been a place of religion for 1,400 years. That's what we call old, but a walk away from the cathedral there are still neolithic sites, and a bronze age village where the field boundaries are still visible (3000 years old or more). My own property has such field boundaries too. We are bathed in history. We love it and protect it.

Just who are these Ofcom people who are able to decide on who we watch? Do we have names of the decision makers? I love to hear Neil and agree with his love of our British Isles.

They look at the past like prisoners do in jail. They just get better at not being caught.
