Its Ok sir .. I understand your feeling -- Mangalore is famous city becasue of many such people like Shilpa Shetty , Sunil Shetty , Kalpana , Jayamala , Fighter shetty , Rohit shetty etc.. It has its own charm -- Getting investment is another subject all together -- YES i understand Mangalore being coastal area could have developed much more -- US Malya brought NMPT / KREC to Mangalore in 1960s sinc he was close to JAWAHARLAL NEHRU. We need BIG TATA Industry in mangalore which should not ve less than rs 50000 crores .. When Singur was canclled KARANTAKA GOVT could have brought TATAs to Mangalore and could have marketed Port properly -- They did not do that - We need strong representation -- MOHANDAS PAI is doing his bti strongly -- We need huge private investent in Mangalore mostly AUTO indstry produce lot of jobs . Magalore has everything PORT -- EXCELLENT RAILWAYS ( KONKAN ) -- INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT -- ECELLENT ROADS - Highly educated workforce -- Great work culture -- Talented people -- ONLY thing which is lacking Govt willingness to market Mangalore - since our CM generally either from North Karnataka or from Old Mysore region -- very rarrely we had CM from Coastal karnataka -- BL Santhosh ( he is from HIRIYADKA ) can influence central govt to get investment to Mangalore

97% words of Tulu are entirely different from Kannada.. not even near...
Tulu is a completely different branch of Dravidian language and there is absolutely no similarities with Kannada. But our cultures and beliefs are much closer to the northern part of Kerala (Malabar region).
