This is a perfect example of how a WTAForehand has a better return on investment compared to an ATP forehand. Pound for pound you can generate power more easily with the WTA forehand and it allows you more versatility to hit flat or more topspin. With BAdosa ‘s ATP forehand she has to rely only on her right arm and the quick snap back that should happen before the ball contact but since she has no strength to create that snap her shots simply sit high allowing her opponent to simply hit down on those shots for aputaway. So unless you have the innate timing ang strength of a Federer or Barty , it’s not worth abandoning your wta forehand to try and adopt an ATP forehand.

Medvedev lost a couple of times since he got his number 1 ranking and congratulated his opponent with class and dignity. Badosa, and WTA players in general need to be better at this
Well he lost in the finals.. so he has to show some dignity because he will give speech and all that, congratulate his opponent for winning so
🤣 Medvedev also berated his coach so badly in the Halle final that he walked out on him; nobody in their right mind is going to be crazy about an excessive celebration like Burrage’s.
I like this girl, Jodie Burrage...I also love the way she rarely hits those moon ball-like shot that so many girls hit, Jodie's shots in this match were all low -over the-net shots. And I agree with Dalton below: Badosa's discourtesy at the ending handshake was quite noticeable.
You're a dunce, and stupidity shines from you all.
Do you have a window to her mind, her chemical imbalances, her anxieties and such matters?
You dimwits.
I am sure if she were a White girl or even Black you would be easily more lenient. Maybe she was about to burst into tears and wanted to be away asap so no one would see.
You halfwits.
Ilove you badosa!❤❤💚
Not a good day for Badosa. Heck of a game by Jodie.
Jodie played great and deserved her win!!!
there is little-to-no respect on the WTA tours nowadays. tik-tokers, Instagram Superstars playing the game. this is the result. narcissistic personalities, disrespectful behavioural attitude when things are not going as planned. social media superstar at their finest.
You are so correct. Technology should serve human beings, not vice-versa.
just what we needed, an armchair expert named Tomas giving us an update on what its like inside the Women’s professional tour. Reality beckons, Tomas!
@@AinSoph73 objection - speculation, lack of foundation
@@tomastoth3839 yes, you are speculating with a lack of foundation; so why would you say “objection”? this isn’t a court of law you know
@@AinSoph73 objection - unintelligible
Im not surprised Bodosa gave her a cold handshake, given the extent of Jodie's victory celebration. Its round 2 of a warm-up tournament and she thinks she won Wimbledon.
faith in humanity restored; thank you
Did I hear right that Veal Chop is Jo's coach?!?
G'Day Craig!!! Well done mate!
So awesome, YESSS
Lord almighty those legs on Burrage
She is very hot beautiful chick
Just focus in ur tennis 🎾 pls
Great stuff Jodie keep it up
Didn't you notice that Judie was annoyingly overjoyed so she didn't shake hands?
most people in this section seem too full of vitriol to notice
One can play bad one day and to lose and it is normal , it is a game , sport , what one cannot lose is his/her good manners and respect for teh rival and today paula lost them.
Exactly!
Badosa’s handshake at the end (if we can call it a handshake at all) was disrespectful.
Very talented tennis from Jodie
Poor form from Badosa at the net. Happy for Jodie, she's pushing hard to better her ranking and glad she's getting some results.
why is everyone taking a dump on Badosa? how is it not equally poor form of Barrage to celebrate like the Russians just withdrew from Ukraine?
@@AinSoph73 It was the best win of Jodie's career thus far, and it was in her home country. Why can she not celebrate and be happy about it?
@@AinSoph73 nonsense commentary
@@danielk8571 I get that, and celebrations + happiness are all good; some players will let out that initial yell and look to their box, shake hands then wait until their opponent has the chance to turn their back before letting it all out. A response like Badosa’s is reasonable when your opponent repeatedly fires up the crowd right in front of you after winning.
@@mariooliver6109 nonsense criticism
Bedosa has been unimpressive of late...this is not a surprise.
Imagine having to endure that barrage.
I see what you did there 😉
Paula has been less competitive lately. You can see that she's becoming very frustrated during her games. She becomes unnerved and can't recover. She needs to do extensive work with her sports psychologist.
wow Jodie.. !
Badosa couldnt leave the stadium fast enough...
Muy mal Badosa, muy mal. El prestigio y el respeto se ganan cuando se sabe felicitar a quién te gana. Con esa actitud sólo consigues frustración propia y desprecio de la afición.
Falou tudo
Brrrrr... that was a cold handshake.
You can see the difference between Ons and Paula in one second when the match is over.
Jodie played like a top 5 player right there WOW
She has pretty good toolbox, what more she is tennis-smart, she made only few tactical errors. She will go far.
Hola Burrage linda soy tu fan
I’m shocked Badosa has been tamed by Burrage.Great performance of the British
Wow, it does not happen often that a player ranked outside top 100 beats an opponent ranked in top 10! And Jodie really played well to make it happen!
Danke Best spillerin Paula bodisa gute blat du hast ghemacht
Im surprised Badosa didn’t retire down a set and 3-0.
Not only that, what's also surprising is that she didn't took her regular Medical Time-out cheat when things aren't going her way.
Wow wow wow wow!!! WC Jodie! She played fantastically! let's see her continue her level and raise it as the tourney continues....
At least a decent player who comes to net to finish point with fine volley and with consistent serve and wise efficient game..Badosa (I didnt even know she is top5 player and top seed here haha) looked pathetic!
Yes, same what I noticed. She already is dangerous to anybody seeded or not.
Why the spanier Badosa got mad, the brit
girl was a lot better than the spanier 👏
Badosa is such an embarrassing top 5 player. Her ranking is based solely on the fact that she plays so many matches.
I remember seeing a match of Jodie vs. Raducanu and how well she did against her. She will be in everyone's radar soon.
I hope win this tournament in the rank is #74
Both these are tennis 💯🔥🥷🏻🥷🏻🔥
Badosa has trouble beating hard hitters.
PAULA BADOSA GIBERT SPAIN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN TENNIS PLAYER ALL THE TIME
bad attitude from badosa did'nt handshake to umpire
f the umpire she don’t know where those greasy hands have been
Good job girl
Once Badosa pulled that groin when she slipped she was done. Could see it from the way she got up. Movement was restricted from there on. Jodie may well have won anyway, she was playing really well.
Yes. Burrage might very well have still won, the way they both had been playing. Burrage had a distinct psychological advantage and strong momentum. Badosa, on the other hand, always seemed somewhat lethargic, and was not moving well.
top 5 player losing to a player ranked outside the top 150 , no surprise here 😅😅😅
Hardly a surprise considering Jodie has been playing for the entire grasscourt season and for Badosa it was her first match on grass this year.
Burrage had a lot of courage today! Fearless.
Clear from Badosa's reaction how off she was today. No where near the level of last year and needs to turn it around or there will be an early exit at Wimbledon next week. Really poor all round from her.
Kalinina, Tsurenko, Kostyuk 🇺🇦🇺🇦♥️♥️
Badosa bent on account of Burrage prettier. hahaha.
Good job, Badosa -_-
Another player glides on the grass in Nike sneakers... Halep, Bencic, now Badosa.
