I’m currently rewatching the show because of this podcast. As an adult watching the show I can’t help but be amazed at the social issues the show addressed….and often! Many of the things we STILL struggle with in today’s society are issues that were addressed in Little House! This show is often written off or dismissed as being a kid’s show and a goody-goody show. It is so not that! I will forever love this show! And yes sometimes I also wished Charles was my Pa.
Oh my goodness, I was at the Connecticut event, and I was able to meet the “blonde bombshell”, Alison, and I have to say Alison your love for the fans was just insane!!! You came out to say hello to this crazy long line of LHOP fans, and you completely made my whole year went to my surprise. You walked up to me and gave me a ginormous bear hug. When I did finally meet you, I had told you I had seen your show in what is known in Massachusetts as, “P-town “!!! And the offer is still on the table that the next time you venture to our Lovely, state of Massachusetts, to a cup of Java, or lunch or brunch, some kind of meal. Your energy is contagious to say the least. It was a joy getting to meet you, however quick it may have been. Even if I did get stung by a bee a couple of times while waiting in line. I think I gave everyone who was in close proximity to me quite the show as me and the paramedics jumped over the stone wall so I could drop my skirt to this pesky Insect made its way up into the layers of my skirt! It was quite funny actually, because I really didn’t care who saw me in my underwear at that point as long as we got rid of the problem! And I saw on another little house on the Prairie page that someone had actually spotted me, because they were in the garden area and got quite the show !!! 😂😂😂😂… it’s becoming ongoing joke now in my life that something is always bound to happen to me and it’s usually something crazy like getting stung by a bee in the middle of a crowd of people, so if you do decide to take me up on my invitation, you’re guaranteed a good time and at least a giggle or two along the way!
I watched the show from the beginning and watch it now nearly every day. Typically can find someone to relate to in every episode. There is no wonder to why it is so timeless!
Hello from Australia. Thank you all for your wonderful work. As a 9 year old I 1974, our family watched LHOTP each week. Now as a 59 year old and due to the 50th anniversary, I researched how I can rewatch - local library has all 9 episodes on DVD - I binge watched - and doing a second binge. 😊 Beautiful speech at the reunion by one of his daughters Leslie Landon. Never mind not winning an Emmy. This show won 'The People's Choice Award' (us, the viewers) which says it all. 😊
Dean's pronunciation of Lancaster was perfect. Alison's was a little NY/Northeastern with the "ah" on the end. I will do my PA. Dutch pronunciation for you next week! 😂
I covet my LH dvds. It's soo good cozi is continuing the tradition of LH. I loved the scene w Dean and Allison eating the 'spicy' cinnamon chicken w their big blue eyes. Finished Dean's book 🎉
Why is their not a podcast this week? And what happened to gravel road markets. I saw your no longer affiliated with them. So your not coming to Tennessee now?
I would love a Little House Podcast where the cast could discuss each episode in depth. Be similar to the Brady Podcast, and the Office Ladies. Dean would be amazing for the later seasons.
