Was just down in this area of the peninsula a couple of weeks ago, but we didn't visit Palmer. My second trip to Antarctica, and like the first, it was amazing. The first trip was great in January 2023 as we went south of the Antarctic Circle and visited several stations.
Hi, great! Yeah, Antarctica is simply in a league of its own! I enjoy it when the weather allows us to visit Palmer station, because they give lectures onboard and bring Antarctic ice for us to feel and taste - a highlight for me! Thanks for sharing 😊🎉
@@TravelwithMonique People who go to Antarctica come back changed. Many people go originally simply because they have to complete their 7th continent, but then once there, they find out what it is all about with the wildlife and the wonder of it all. Never thought I would get there even once, but as soon as I did, I knew I needed to go back. On both trips someone in our zodiac has reached into the ocean and brought out some clear glacial ice, and we've taken it back to the ship to use in our drinks. One of the many Antarctic videos on my own TH-cam channel is watching the bubbles melt out of the hundreds of thousands of years old ice, into my glass of water.
@x15galmichelleevans Incredible! Yes I agree, it is all about the wildlife and what I haven't been able to do is share this experience in words wirh others. You simply have to experience it for yourself! Thanks for sharing! 😁😊
Love it!
Really nice sharing my friend ❤👋😇
