While their damage is insane, that is not the core problem with the new oil rig. The issue is the insanity that it's how tanky the enemies are. There have no business being that hard to kill. 2-3 hits with legendary rocket launcher + gobfins per mob is beyond insane.
That, coupled with the stupidly low chances of the things you came to this damn rig to begin with (especially the damn applied labor technique books), it just makes trudging through the rig more than once not even remotely worth it
@@patrickthehenchman2679i honestly gave up and installed a mod that boosts the books (books that upgrade pal work) drop rate to 5% that way it's still a reasonable grind. But I kept the schematics to the below 1% chance

Are some small chests random spawn chance? I could've sworn there was suppose to be a purple chest on the top ledge at 5:16, maybe it's somewhere else, but I remember there being 2 chests nearby each other, one on a ledge, one below on the floor.
There was one chest missing, the one on the ledge. It has not spawned in my last few runs, so I think it has bugged and spawned under the water or inside the building.
Do you have to unlock something in the game before you can get Demon God? I'm lv60, been playing since the game released, still no Demon God on anything. 3658 eggs hatched so far in my breeding ranch, from all kinds of pals... still no Demon God. Is there something I need to do before it becomes an option?
How the freak are you doing that much damage on the chopper? I have maxed attack stat, epic homing launcher, use the mammorest meal yet only hit for 9-10k regular dmg n about 12k crit hit. What am I missing here?
What’s scary about this is that it’s still just the early access version. The enemies are already ridiculously tanky and tough, and there’s still high possibility there will be twice or more challenging oil rigs than this in later updates or the full version, it's just kinda daunting and not Worth with all the BS rewards 😅

For normal settings, they either should nerf the hp on the enemies or at least make the drop rates higher because It just doesn't seem worth it. Before anyone says "just change the settings" I play on a designated server so I can't. I'm also speaking on the perspective of others just doing a normal playthrough. That's my opinion though
for hard setting server, everything in this oil rig will only need 2sec (start counting when they start to shoot) to drop u dead btw, i'm wearing legendary hex armor, tried to increase my DEF to 2k and it only nid 0,5 -> 1 sec for Syndicate Crusher to kill me with full shield LOLOL, so i guess just normal is not enough, hard too pls kek
The HP is overtuned. Initially I thought that it was because we would get a lot of power creep with the new weapons, but as showcased the best weapons to run are the level 50 rocket+4 and 55 Quad+4... devs made this whole update just a time sink and its starting to feel pretty bad.
no I agree with this. even if you go through the arduous hours of "grind for these specific skilled pals and top tier weapons and armor" stuff just to make it to the rig, going through the equally arduous trek across the rig to kill the overpowered enemies just for the .1% CHANCE for certain loot you actually want that barely ever spawns even in an area as high level as this meaning you have to do it all over again like 150 times just to MAYBE get(cough applied labor technique books cough), not only is it not fun, but it's just not worth it.
Id like to also know, i havent got around doing the lv 60 oil rig as yet but i had the chest locations mapped out on the lv 55 oil rig. Would be nice to have that so i can make my own route based on my own gameplay.
@@hermesonaires7047 Unfortunately that is not the case. Central platform, the tower beside the central platform, at the end of the pier with 3 crushers, beside the building at the pier with 2 crushers.

Not really related to the vid but is it possible to get/farm lucky alpha pals? Just curious as they would be very big Also, is it really worth killing everyone since they're so omega tanky? I usually just do all chests around the big one
Gale's partner skill does not scale on anything other than condensation level so you can run it with whatever set you want. I think the Professor has a vid on it from pre-SJ Personally i run Vanguard/Stronghold/Noble/Fine Fur, but if you like Motivational Leader you can run that and something like Mine Forman with your Van/SS. Same deal with the Gobfin, just do personal buffs.

@@unclelizard5580 These reduce the cost of stuff you buy and increase the price of stuff you sell. The description only mentions that you get more money. I never tested if it actually does that, but it definitely reduces the cost of stuff, so it's good either way for money management. Lategame you can just (literally) print infinite money, but early game where money is somewhat limited and comes mostly from selling your pal box, making it last matters. That's 3% and 5% per pal, so a full team adjusts prices by quite a lot.
@@unclelizard5580 I pretty much always have my Gale/Gob team on me so rather than swapping back and forth to vendor stuff i just have N/FF on them. from a combat perspective only V/SS offer any benefit so the last two slots are free, and honestly I'm just lazy. If your not aware N/FF Decrease the cost of purchasing items and Increase the sell price of items you sell to the vendor. So the primary strategy for endgame is to produce something high-value (Legendary spheres), sell them to the vendor with the N/FF markup, then buy whatever you need (Fluid, Bone, Milk, Eggs, Organs etc) instead of doing any ranching.

My friend made a mod for that yesterday but he's not posting it until the balance is right. It comes with a schematic workbench to combine schematics.

Not possible in game, lucky(shiny) pals count as Alpha pals so therefore an Alpha (boss) pal can't also be a shiny

Its because of your mods. It freezes when autosaving every 30 seconds. Disable mods or set autosave to every 30 minutes or so.
