Yes, he didn't age well for someone who was the most handsome guy singing and will always be. What a shame with all the talent he had that the first "reform school" did their job and encouraged him to sing and they didn't do a darn thing for him except make him want to escape the so-called reform school. Shame on them.

I was determined to get him to sighn my telecaster. Outside his bus he said " How about you hold it up and I'll sighn it". And that is (one of my favorite memories of all).
I got the grandest opportunity to visit with Hank at his home and I've met Merle once at a show, two super duper great guy's and legends, will never ever be anyone like those in this time era, they came from a complete different time era that influenced them to be that incredible way. They're greatly missed.
