- Seen in the Preston area.
First clip on 6z31 haverton to colas Ribble rail the last inbound tanks working.
Then the rest of the clips is on 6z32 taking tanks for storage to eastriggs with the grid sounding fantastic with a bit of a struggle up the hill out of Preston. Word has it the last of the tanks will be taken for storage sometime in February

Excellent video... thanks for sharing... I love the engine noise... seen this line a couple of times and taken lots of photos, but i haven't been lucky enough to see any trains on the line... I love the road running sections... wish I'd been able to see the Trafford Park railway in action as well

@JordanClass37Fan Do you know the reason for the tanks being put into storage, company gone bust, transferring their operations to another site, transferring their operations to road transport?

@MickeyMetal64 no. Hoovers are class 50s (because of the cooling fans!). These 56s are grids. EE V16 in the 50 (a larger version of the V12 in the 37) vs the Ruston Paxman in the 56 that's perhaps closer to the HST lineage

I would have thought there would be some ruling that the signal has to be cleared at the top of the hill so that it doesn’t have to stop on the hill?
The signal was green all the way, I videoed this from the other side at Preston station. The grid actually stalled a few times!

The previous govt started "that crap" several years ago. We all love these locos but you can't keep filling the air with crap and not expect some consequences.
