There is the difference of Mr. French's work. "As told by" instead of merely read by. He tells his tales to us as we are sitting around the fireplace with an after-dinner drink or a cup of coffee telling us all the latest talk around town and from those in the know. A firsthand conversation with only his closest friends. We can't wait till the next dinner invitation.
Hmmmmm, Special...this ones a little, Extra. The additional effects and the quality of the sound are wonderful, the story gripping in and of itself. I forgot it was you, in the Now, Edward, and it was right back to a late Sunday night or Radioplays before bed in my minds eye. Magical, thank you for that moment of nostalgia, as always, Edward.
The Roald Dahl intro was creepy enough but then the overdubbing & sound effects iced the cake. These little gems get more and more masterful, Mr F. Shuddery.
EF Benson stories brought me to your channel. My gosh, what a great voice you have for narrating these stories. And such a list of titles you've done. I really appreciate the hours it has taken to record and upload these for us. I'm definitely subscribed. Thank you SO much !
Thanks Darren. I swing at 'em each week. They're not always "Home runs," but I have a lot of fun and if you enjoy my little performances, that's the cherry on the Saturday sundae! Peace. Be safe& healthy! E.E.F.
Ah! There's the rub. I LOVE Roald D.'s stories. I uploaded one called "The Rat Catcher" and his agents(?) Publishers(?) had TH-cam censor it. Remove it. I received a copyright complaint. I've steered clear of Dahl's work since then. This channel could be deleted by the TH-cam overlords at any time. I'll just state it again. I make no money from this channel. I'm not recording these books to exploit these authors. Whether or not my recordings benefit the authors ( I think they do) is up to the owners of these books. E.E.F.
Hmm ... It strikes me that, perhaps, Dr. Johnstone's procedure might have been revived in recent years, and its principles applied in the case of some of our more prominent world leaders. That would go far in explaining some of the more bizarre situations in which we find ourselves, today. Many thanks, as ever, for this excellent reading. I particularly like the maniacal, staring, introduction. (*And* I want some of that hair!)
That hair is.....MINE! You can't have it.... Yes. This story (strange as it is) explains our current "new Normal" far beyond any issue of the old MAD magazine. I'm going to fine tune the introductions. I need to dial down the maniacal from "11" to, say, "6" or "7". Peace and safety unto you.
Getting a definite Zacherle vibe from you at the start, Edward! Your eyes shine so bright with barely-contained glee! You'd make an excellent horror host! :D
Don't you just HATE it when you're trying to shave your armpits without taking off that bitchin' new sports restraint shirt and your significant simian creeps in and tries to hog the bathroom mirror? Oh... almost forgot... excellent reading. As for the intro: the Frank Frazetta of Horror Hosts. Canis Tuus - Hoc Quoque Transibit.
Very nice, another excellent story with excellent narration.
You have been blessed with a magnificent voice and a rare talent for storytelling. I am grateful for that.🙏🦉
Too kind. E.E.F.
Another stellar performance by a master storyteller and a grand creepy tale.
What a pleasant surprise to see you in person at the start. A fine tale well told!
THANKS, Tim. I'm glad you liked the intro. I'm trying to make the presentations a bit more intimate and personal. Peace & Safety. E.E.F.
You are the best!

Another good one, thank you Edward
Cheers! Snippy. E.E.F.

Oh how I wish you would read "Farewell to the Master: The Day the Earth Stood Still". Thank you for the reads you have done.
You had me at "disturbs"!
That's a wonderfully "loaded" word. Cheers. E.E.F.
"Slash!!" It never gets old!
Lookin good Mr. Frenchie!
"Frenchie?" You sound like a buddy I might have known in grade school. Thanks for tuning in! Cheers. E.E.F.

YEESSSS. I'm channeling my inner Dahl-minus the L & M testimonials! Cheers. Peace, good health and safety unto you. E.E.F.

“I know different.” perfect. . .
Brilliant as always my friend, I always look forward to hearing what offering you bring to your channel each week.

That was a good one!
I am so thrilled you are still at work. I listen to your narrations over and over. Can you please do some Roald Dahl stories?

@@FrenchEdward06 I wish I was your roommate!🤗
The Roald Dahl short story, "Georgie Porgie" is a bizarre story.
As usual Mr. French, another wonderful read!
THANKS, Csleuth One. See you NEXT WEEK! E.E.F.
You're always disturbing, it's your gift.
Oh, dear, Mark. I do hope it's a pleasant, stimulating disturbance, Cheers. Be well and safe! E.E.F.
It seems that Dr. Burton Peter Thom was also a medical researcher. He authored several medical texts including one concerning syphilis transmission
This looks good.
I figured out the ending just from the cover, haha. Nevertheless, a good read Mr. French.
Ah Mister French you read the Intro and only once Blinked, where you said "It's perfectly beastly"!

I am fine, thank you -- for now. But it might be wise not to ask again once the sensuous, beautiful nightmare reading has begun!

You've got to be careful where Theosophists are concerned... 🤔
A scientist playing "God" with the soul; reminds me of Robert Lewis Stephenson's "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde."
This is the stuff of 1950s B sci-fi movies.
Hehe what a yarn!

Non plaudite. Modo pecuniam jacite.
