    I wonder why he doesnt use the magwell is it not allowed in this competition or does he feel it gets in the way somehow ?

      Not allowed in Production division.

    I enjoyed most watching him miss that steel popper 3 times and needing to reload to finally drop it.
    It’s like he was a normal flawed human being for a few. 😅

    Congrats Nils! You the man! Are using the steel Rival?

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes I’m running the new steel frame now. This was several months before Canik released the Rival-S so this was the SFX Rival.

    Hey Nils I'm wondering if you working with Canik know of a good guide rod & Spring option for the Rival-S? I know that the Rival-S has a different barrel than the original Rival. I can't find any literature on this thank you for your time.

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m still running the factory spring and follower but if you’re looking to change it out. W74 is a solid option for it.

      @@NilsJonasson You're a great guy. We had a photo taken at the NRA convention in Houston, TX. Also, Adam Ruonala gave me a MeCanik optic for my SFx Rival Darkside 😎

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably the Rival. You have more optics options going that way.

    Is this pre Canik Rival -S? And do you believe you will run the S or the polymer

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Time will tell, but the S definitely soaks up a lot of the recoil for you.

    Do most pros shoot one eye or two eyes open?

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Whatever you need to do to hit the targets at the end of the day.
      I mostly shoot two eyes open especially when running a dot. With irons I might squint my left eye a little depending on the targets.

    Obviously a world class shooter but efficiency in footwork utilizing the advantage of having a longer stride by minimizing the number of steps and wasted movement seems to be something he does better than others. In the first stage, he took eight steps from the first set of targets to the second. By contrast, Phil Strader in the Sig Sauer shirt took 18. NJ covered more ground in one step than PS did in his first four steps. Can tell Nils Jonasson is more athletic, and probably played other competitive sports growing up. If I had to guess, I’d say tennis.
    He may even have faster splits but thats also because he has better footwork. They are tied together. Just like the most accurate quarterbacks tend to have the best footwork. I love seeing a shooter with a $650 pistol dominate.

  • @ammogiant824
    @ammogiant824 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Poly or steel Rival?

    • @NilsJonasson
      @NilsJonasson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was last year before I switched to the steel frame, so polymer.

  • @stovepipe8966
    @stovepipe8966 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You make it all look so easy lol 😂

  • @ruggedmeetsrefined5345
    @ruggedmeetsrefined5345 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Also on the next to last stage or set of targets, NJ and PS shot the targets in different order. NJ was already facing the next set of targets going straight then right whereas PS went right, straight, right again. Wasted movement is wasted time. It’s not just the gun and shooting time. Also, just like throwing a football, where your lead toe is pointing is where the ball is gonna go. Pivoting allows the shooter to have a steadier base/platform to shoot from vs short choppy steps, which disrupts the shooter’s base/platform.
    I’m well aware this isn’t easy and I’m only critiquing things unrelated to shooting because i know i would have better footwork. Compared to the average person, I’m a good shot with a pistol. Compared to any of these guys, I wouldn’t stand a chance.

    🤣😂🤣 the irony , so satisfying seeing Nils and his new gun on the block canik just kicking ass , and it’s a 800 dollar gun give or take a few dollars, and his competitors have much more expensive guns,
