You've probably figured it out by now, but you have to be within their service area to get the service. That's true of any internet service provider. Some people get lucky and others will have to wait months or years for their area to even be considered.

Micro trenching in asphalt is standard practice and is a correct way of installing fiber using micro ducts. Micro trenching is a safer way to do it in most cases because it avoids existing utilities. And no, it isn't installed in asphalt, the saw cuts through the asphalt and into the earth.

Micro trenching isn’t standard practice. Never seen it or heard of it in my state. Those fibers they cut through the asphalt will end up ripped apart when the road is replaced. Its just a cheap and crappy way to put in fiber so the provider can save on money for their unreliable network.
