You write a message, agree about a room. Probably transfer some small deposit ... not more then 100 euro. Then come to Germany, stay in hostel a couple of days. Sign the contract and make all remaining payments directly here.
Renting flat remotely - I would not recommend this. Except you're renting it via some agency.

@@GermanInsider Thank you very much, but do you think it is a good choice or MrLodge? It seems that I wouldn't be able to bring my family directly due to the risk of loosing job and due to the high rental. I am thinking about taking a 1 room-aparment from MarLodge and be their .. for the first 6 months .. se the situation and after that try to fix a permanent apartment. Don't know really which one is better, since I have probation period, which scares me if I loose the job.. What would you prefer please?. Thanks a lot.
I have an offer to work in München.

MrLodge is OK, except pricing. If you come alone, you can find room in shared apartment. The only thing, you should be allowed to register there. You can negotiate it via emails.
And after, you can look for bigger flat when you pass the probation period.
