FULL ambi bolt control, thats a catch AND release on the right is a HUGE advantage and MANDATORY imo!

and id LOVE for it to have a left side folding non reciprocating charging handle. in fact id love that on the 5.56 rifles as well.

Hopefully these M400s will be better than our agency’s. Within the first year of duty every bolt carrier had to be swapped out. Broken carrier keys and broken gas rings. Never heard of that until the Sig m400. Love Viking tactics but get a better company to make your stuff.
I provided initial rifle training to a local agency a couple years back. They had M400's and 8 out of 10 of them went down the second day with disintegrating gas rings. Not the first time I've seen issues like that with Sig products. They used to be the gold standard, but now not so much. I personally don't trust them for duty/edc use anymore.
If I met them I would literally LOSE MY shit. LEGENDS

The S&W VTAC rifles were awesome guns. 1:8 5R barrels. Absolute tack drivers.

I love that the cover plate doesnt make you remove the rear sight like every other sig gun so far. Get rid of the hokey sights and its gtg
Very nice rifle, but that is the best looking Sig handgun I’ve seen in a while. I shot a x5 but hated the cutouts on the slide so big thumbs up on getting rid of that. Especially for a carry gun. I like the RMR plate too and how taking it off doesn’t also remove the rear sight allowing you to co-witness. I wish they would have done the same to the m17. The trigger is amazing in this gun and they are tack drivers. If I wasn’t already so heavily invested in my current carry gun, I would get this one. 👍👍

I'm looking at getting into slide mounted red dots and the P320 VTAC shown here looks perfect. Might have to grab one, just worried about holster compatibility.
if you put a light on it like a Streamlight TLR 1/TLR2 or a surefire x300, Blackhawk makes an Omnivore holster that attaches to the actual light, those should work.
Not a Sig Fan.... but Wow to legends AWESOME!

Mrandher83 The VTAC comes with a 1:7 twist, it uses a different barrel than a standard M400. At least, according to Buds Gun Shop.
tg1982 SIG is just deplorable at listing specs correctly and randomly changing things. I have the VTAC rifle. It’s 1/8 stainless fluted barrel. It also does not come with the flat faced 2 stage trigger as they initially advertised, just a standard curved single stage black one.

Make the PE-57 again in 308 for less than $2500 and I'll buy one.
Overpriced to the max and of questionable quality/reliability... Modern SIG: no thanks. I'm happy with my CZ affliction when I feel like spending money I don't have and my Glocks just keep on being boring and reliable year after year not to mention nobody makes anything comparable to a G20 thus far so... I will give SIG credit, their "SIG Elite" _ammo_ is really good and consistent stuff and if SIG were to make a 10mm MPX (or even a P320 although it's still just a P320 so maybe not) I might have to look into them but otherwise... nope. Not interested in these two fluff-piece show guns.
