Sehwag is single handedly responsible for inspiring generations to play their natural game... Warner, Roy, Sharma, Agarwal, Shaw, Stirling are heirs of Sehwag💕💕💞

Dude it was sanath jayasuriya who changed the game.. thank him for no more boring starts to innings, T 20 , more results based games.. sehwag, gilly etc were then played up the order because they realised how devastating they can be

He is an amazing player with amazing ability and talent. There is an interview or Ashwin where he says - his secret to getting shehwag out was to bowl bad balls to him. Because the better you bowl to him, he takes it as a challenge and the harder he hits you 😂. No joke.. That's the courage Ian is talking about here.
Sehwag is a Legend The most dangerous destructive player in all forms of cricket Strike Rate in Tests - 85, Odi-100, t20-150 Compare with devilliers, Gayle Warner Tests-53, Odi-100, t20-140 He averaged 50 in tests 8500 runs striking at 85 2 triples, 6 doubles
Sehwags innings was one of the best ive seen. The foundation of it was his play through the off side. Upper cuts to 3rd man and cut shots through point. He batted leg side of the wicket,Australia kept bowling it into his wheelhouse and he kept smashing it. Awesome.
Sehwag is one of the best opening batsman cricket have ever played...he is the best...I have seen what a wanderful entertainer..super super player...he only plays one way..go and bashshed bowlers
I agree and that is why I hate Sri Lanka. Pure jealously when on 99 in a ODI they purposely bowled a no ball even though he smashed it for 6 so Sehwag was stranded 1 short of century. Just as bad as the under arm incident
Hats off to Hon'ble Ian Chappell & Greg Chappell for their immense contributions to Int'l cricket 🏏 🏏 ... Honestly speaking, India opener Viru Sehwag is class apart (..and also so is VVS Laxman ) 🏏 🏏 👏 👏 👍 👍

That's why he is legend. Yet, the material point is, the way Sir Sachin played & Sir Virender Sehwag played the same way but the difference is Sir SACHIN played with smooth tremendously and Sir VIRENDER SEHWAG played same like that style with hammer shot perfectly in every single ball, no matter what types of format it is, TEST, ODI, or T20. Sir Virender Sehwag did change the modern cricket world by his plenty of fearful batting style. That is very to rare to see & learn the lesson of Cricket book. Respect and enormous love for Sir Virender Sehwag.

Shewag may or may not be among one of the greats But cricket world will never see another dynamic dashing entertaining cricketer in the near future that too in the opening slot.
Sachin later on became very obsessed with records. Just compare his strike rate when he starts his innings and once he gets to 80 odd. It keeps on declining.

When Ian Chappell says he loves a player so much, that is a huge compliment indeed.

Sehwag is a Legendary Batsman I have ever seen in cricket.
In my favorite XI Sehwag would be my first choice as opener. Then Matthew Hayden.
