Don't forget to put down your mines! If everyone swapped into engineer and got their max mines down it's powerful defense
I played a game about a week ago and spent my time fortifying. I mined a hedgerow with my first 6, and after a few kills laid more. By the end of the match 8 of my 11 kills were AP mines with 1 AT mine kill. I laughed imagining the random pink mist that our MGs witnessed. 😂
While I may not have scored many kills myself, I took a great deal of satisfaction knowing that my mines frustrated that push. My barbed wire funneled them into kill zones where my MG buddies could fire from behind my barricades and bunkers and eat them up. Engineer is probably my favorite class.
I’ve started playing engineer in offensive and it’s a nice way to kill time just sitting back in peace building stuff, even better when you win on that point you built up
Yeah, it's very satisfying if the battle eventually makes it to your built-up point and your team ends up holding off for the win. It also sucks when the battle never makes it there and you waste it all that time haha!

By any chance do you have any videos on leading your shots?
I don't, no. But it's an interesting topic. I know there are some old videos out there on the subject, but especially with the running speed having been increased in update 14, there are no accurate video guides on that at the moment. I anticipate a potential tweak to the running speed again soon here, so I'll probably hold off on that one for a bit to be honest. I'd say watch my gameplay videos and take note of what weapon I'm using, the rough distance I'm firing from, and how much I lead the target. It honestly just comes with experience and practice!
@@SoulSniperYT I already watch them and continue to do so. But I would like to play with more experienced people. Haven't been able to find that on console.

God i love this game. One of the best investments i have ever made.
Bought the game based on these awesome vids.
After playing for two straight days, i can tell you that ONLY one of two possible things will happen.
1. Run around the map and see no enemy whatsoever, get bored.
2. Spawn, move no more than five paces…DEAD.
Fuck my whole face! What is the fucking point?!
You have to understand that there are some slow moments where not much happens and what you see on TH-cam are the more exciting, epic, funny, etc. moments. But for me, the awesome moments more than make up for the dull moments. If you keep playing to learning the game and how to be effective, I think you'll see what all the fuss is about. It's an incredible game, especially if you play with friends, or at least communicative strangers.
You will die a lot at first. You won't even see who got you or from where most of the time. But eventually you start to learn the maps, where people tend to go, how they tend to engage, etc. You get more and more effective in combat until you get to the point where you can make plays like the ones in these videos. So yea, the game is brutal and unforgiving. But two days of playing isn't enough to fully judge the game IMO. I'd encourage you to give it more time and keep watching my tutorials and learning.
@@SoulSniperYT completely get where you’re coming from and I have been an avid viewer of your tutorials for the past few months, in fact, it was you that led me to buying the game.
But my problem is, it’s incredibly off-putting when you can’t even get a single kill, let alone making any meaningful impact on the game in any way, shape or form. Gets stale pretty quick when your only contribution is to the K/D ratio of the enemy team…

@@SoulSniperYT weird, I was watching it on my laptop that normally sees videos just fine. Well thanks for the response! That clears up my questions about whether it was modded or weather based or something.
I do a bit of color grading in post production so I'm sure part of it is that. The contrast is turned up and saturation down.
