Even as a native English speaker I always think the words are too similar to be used the way poker players use them. They often sound the same even to my ears.
This format is your best content by far. High Stakes Alex is wonderful on stream. Very lucid thought process and clear accent (just kidding 🏴♥️). Bravo 👏🏾🌹🌹
JK678 hand probably river bluff all in some T8s T8o which block sets and straights, T8s T8o seems like one of the few combos available in bb 3bet range that fulfill this criteria
Question about GG rake structure: If they also rake preflop (which they do to my understanding), wouldn't it mean that it doesn't affect preflop ranges towards less flatting?
Alex seems like a very very good poker player, look forward to seeing more of him when the subscription launches, on another note does anybody know when season 3 of poker distilled comes out???
I thought calling on the btn was fine ? i call btn bb a lot and 3 bet every other possition 100% of the time, should i not be flatting on the btn either ?
Can someone explin A10 hand? They mention its great hand on flop to get stacks in but they decide to check instead of bettin big, and when on turn our hand weakens and becomes worse with straights introduced they choose betting almost pot. Kinda doesnt make sense to me, but im noob so..
They’re checking flop with intentions to check-raise, because that gets more money in the pot than betting large. However top two pair is severely downgraded once multiple straights come in. They can no longer check raise turn because when villain does actually bet the turn they will have some straights, so check raising 2 pair would now be torching money. Key point being, when facing a flop bet you can check raise because you almost always have the best hand, but if facing a turn bet you don’t have the best hand such a vast majority of the time anymore, so just bet large to get called by worse
On the set of 4s hand facing the c/r, how is a recreational holding an overpair going to fold the turn if a straight card comes when they only have pot behind?!! I disagree with that. I think shoving the flop after the c/r loses ev
Its definitely not 95% rec that flats here. Seems clear u still havent understood that ggs rakestructures incentives alot of flats from the button since even preflop is raked even if u won the pot by 3betting
Any chance I can talk you into reverting back to a deck that shows suits? I can't see colors.
no
The true ev of the soup comes from the carrots, not the potatoes
What about the pocket potatoes?!
trueEV!
Reg and rec are difficult to hear the difference when I'm not a native English speaker

This video beautifully illustrates how bad the terms rec and reg are. They almost sound the same and it's so easy to misspeak. #makefishthetermagain
True
Love the end :) Loved the beginning and middle too.

Thanks for everything you do.
Assimilating your mindset for a few months has improved my skill dramatically. 🥕🥕🥕
Great video, Pete! Make more like these. I love it

They only rake pre-flop if someone 3-bets

Great video. You guys need to figure out this whole reg vs rec situation.
Great video. Loved watched this stream on twitch. Great listening to you both thinking about poker

How did you create this awesome Carrotter thumbnail?
Its not the 1500's but Im stoned right now
Peter, please enlighten us about 3b stat in RNC games always being so high compared to normal tables. What are the influencing factors?
It's probably simply that good players 3bet more often than bad players and RNC is a tougher pool than regular tables.
Why is shoving J8 (on JK678) better than calling? There aren't many worse hands that call and they seem balanced by better hands that don't fold.
I agree… seems like you’d be value owning yourself a ton. Just snap call and move on.

High stakes Alex does a good job of translating from GTO to mortal.

Was the soup Mulligatawny? I think I had the same dream.
Thankfully Alex took back the shit he was giving me, LOL.
This is a really great duo.
24:40 "nice job, but how much do you lift bro?"
right out the bat, first hand on the flop i make the wrong move and range bet small, good job me !
What is Russian cash ?
Jordan Peterson?
Wtf was his dream? 😂😂
Can high stakes pro beat low stakes?
they wont play the same way at low stakes, but yes, in general, people winning at higher stakes can beat lower stakes
What question is that? can Grand master beat elo 400 in chess? :)
Nope, you gotta save 50k first and then jumpstraight into 1kNL 🙆😂
Say fish and reg... Say rec and reg is hard to hear and clearly hard for you guys to say the correct one everytime 😂
Gg poker sounds shit
