I hand raised my rooster from day one and he is aggressive to me, mostly when i bring food out to the girls. I only have him because I only ordered pullets, but one happened to be a boy. Hes a French Golden Cuckoo Marans. He is absolutely beautiful. He has 10 ladies and he is very attentive to them and loves to point out food when they are free-ranging. Overall, Im glad I have him. Hes great at watching for preditors.

Yikes...I hand raised my rooster from day one as well and he's such a wuss. Thinks he's a human, gets chased by all the other chickens even smaller hens...I sometimes doubt he'll ever crow. I can't imagine it

lol They're a jealous bunch. Don't know the Golden Cuckoo but I've got a couple of Black Coppers. They're a mess. Mine have become more rooster business and less huggable as they've matured. Picked up one of the hens a few days ago and one of them thought he'd spank me down. Snatched him as soon as he came at me and pinned him. He was fine and is fine but they tend to have rooster memory and have to be reminded from time to time. lol
But boy you're right, they are some striking birds. Beefy little stud muffins all dressed up to the nines.

Love my roosters, breed seems to determine how protective of the hens they are, my brahmas are giant cuddly roosters that can be held , my barred rocks HATE when their hens get touched however

I have two rosters that start crowing around 5:30 and continue until around 7:30 am. One is very gentle and in the 3 years I've had him has never been aggressive and helps his hens raise their chicks. The other rooster is more aggressive but if I just carry a wooden dowl in my hand he just walks away. IVE NEVER EVER TOUCHED ANY CHICKEN WITH IT. they just fear it so I take advantage of that. He's a good rooster. They will crow during the day if someone they don't know comes into the yard.. They are protective of the hens for sure. A good thing.

Pro tip: Use a serama rooster if you want chicks, but very quiet crowing and no real danger. It sounds hilarious when they crow and will breed with full size hens, including australorps and orpingtons, although the chicks won't grow much bigger than the rooster so they're not great meat birds.

The key to roosters is to look at things from their perspective. You have to realize that we automatically come across as a predator to them because we have forward facing eyes. It takes everything in them to overcome their instincts when dealing with us. Not all of them can do it 🤷‍♀️

So, I bought one of ya'lls chicken coop doors about a year ago from amazon and it unfortunately is no longer working. Since you stated it has a two-year warranty, I was wondering how I can contact you for the warranty claim. I have not been able to find an email address or phone number on any of your social media pages, so I have resorted to asking in the comment sections of this video.

So the hens give up their feathers for the rooster and the rooster gives up his life for his hens.

Roosters can crow 24 7. My Finn a polish splash rooster will crow at night in the morning in the afternoon and in the evening.

Roosters CROW BECOUSE they have a vent all chickens 🐔 do all their stuff out their vent ,it's sorta like a butt, and Roosters 🐓 have TWO sperm slingers that come out of their vent and enter the hens vent too breed,WELL they actually begin crowing 🐓 🤔 an hour or so before sunrise and it just seems they are sleeping 😴 and then dream of all their wonderful hens and get excited 😊 well YOU would probably CROW TOO IF YOU WOKE UP WITH TWO HARD ONS IN YOUR BUTT TOO ,that's is why they CROW and the think of hens all day long 😀 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐣
