Great band, especially the drummer. The entrance of the second clarinet @3:55 was dare I say, hella boss. Too bad the video cuts when the Breslov's start getting things lit
I'm not Jewish and rock and roll is the music I've listened to, most of my life, BUT, I LOVE ALL MUSIC, I get corny and include rain, wind, thunder, etc- I like to imagine everyone's '"cave ancestors " sitting around a firepit carving a stick to fashion a whistle or flute, tapping pebbles together as "primitive"! percussion, etc. I don't know much about klezmer music, but I've loved it since I was a kid- sadly, no Jewish friends but I fell in love with Leonard Cohen, the poet, novelist before he became a folk singer! I read in some music mag? Leonard used some Hebrew "liturgical" melodies and I believe it- KLEZMER is SO energetic, it energizes me- does it also have a "sorrowful, sedate" aspect- perhaps some kind person will email me with some history, some recommendations- aha! back in the 1970's? rock musicians started, jumping, bobbing up and down- is it possible klezmer was at work?!? Namaste from Canada. I LOVE this band- suddenly I feel happier! ( are the dance, acrobatics, symbolic? If so what do the movements represent- the average person - maybe a gymnast! might not even be able to imitate that one jump- amazing- )
@@ultimatedark5969 Not this one. This is straight from the late 19th-20th century Ottoman Balkans, between Northern Greece and Bosnia. Those pieces sound like they're straight up from Albania and Kosovo.
Sunt melodii românești preluate, prelucrate si interpretate superb de muzicienii evrei ! Respect !

The Doina is a Romanian folkloric style of music.
This sounds nothing romanian, romanian music is like slavic music mixed with german and turkish music
wir sind fast alle dabei und getröstet
ja liebt uns alle
This is completely Balkan music.
balkan is oe part of the jewish heritage jews been living in theses countries for centuries
It's not Balkan music, it is Jewish music that was influenced by balkan, Turkish and slavic music
@@ultimatedark5969 That what Balkan music is. Music played in the Balkans, no matter what ethnicity is playing it. Duh!
@@ariesmp ok pal, then you can call it balkan music, it is played not only in balkan,.but also in the middle east , Western Europe and America
