This is a fantastic comedy show. Obviously dated compared to our multi-cultural society today, but the balance of humour works for me. Maybe I watched it as a kid, but Michael Palin's comedy acting shines through. David Jason is in his element as the slapstick Captain Fantastic, which is so well shot and put together. The music is really good too; the multi-talented Bonzo Dog band excels. I guess Eric Idle had a great contribution to make with the music and songs, though I think he peaked as an actor in Monty Python, but there are none of his excesses as in the later Rutland Weekend Television.

Can't get the music out of my head, so well played by the musicians. Love Michael Palin's acting. I agree Monty Python brings out the best in the crew as far as comedy sketches, but this is a very funny and entertaing top-notch show and top notch for all the family, not just children. Can somebody get this made up in colour?
