Sw2 provides simple macro-based Excel files which can size Two and Three Phase separators.
These files have been developed based on the well-known articles of W.D.Monnery and W.Y.Svrcek'.
2pH: Sizing of 2 phase HORIZONTAL separators. (vapor/liquid)
2pV: Sizing of 2 phase VERTICAL separators. (vapor/liquid)
3pHw: Sizing of 3 phase HORIZONTAL separators with Weir. (vapor/liquid/liquid)
3pHb: Sizing of 3 phase HORIZONTAL separators with Boot. (vapor/liquid/liquid)

You're welcome. Length of separation will be calculated based on the formula and comparing to the required capacity of holdup+surge volume, the final length will be set by the software.

I have never investigate about liquid/liquid extractors. However I think you can use 3-phase spreadsheets and for gas phase, enter a very small value such as 0.01 kg/hr. to run the optimization. It should be work but definitely it is not optimized and the result is overdesign for your problem. (because it will considered some space for gas (~ 20% of ID)

Hi, thanks for the information, i would like to know if there is something special to do for installing "Solver Add-in", cause i have already installed but when i run S-Omega 2 appear an advice that said: " Solver Add-in has not been loaded, Please refer to start up page to add it manually." I have already done the manually installation as start up page mention, but the advice still appearing. i would be thankful if you help me.
Hi, Please open a new Excel workbook (Blank one) and check the add-in window and be sure that solver is exist in the list and it's check box is marked. And also be sure that Solver is available under "Data" tab on ribbon bar. Otherwise inform me to find a solution for this bug.

Hi Ali, thank you for the great work. I'm getting "Solver has not been loaded.." and " Run time: 9 - script out of range" error messages. You've mentioned a manual installation in the video but I couldn't see it later. Am I missing something?

If you can not see the "Solver" in the ribbon bar, it has not been installed properly. So you can search the web for "How to install solver in Excel XY?" (Please mention the version of the excel n the search keywords) and then follow the detailed instructions on the web (and maybe youtube)

Actually for preventing any miscalculation/damage in formula, I have protect the spreadsheet. However you can see the detail of calculation by the considered button. I think there is no need to make the sheets password-free.
