Every time I have my kids in a yarn store they oooh and aww over the scrubby yarn, but I've never tried it. It would be fun to make them little scrubbies for their play kitchen with it. I've been hearing there's a lot of scrubby yarn in their mystery bags lately.
I use that scrubby yarn for work. It can be a pain to use but I eventually get the cleaning rags done. I do always pair it with regular kitchen cotton.
That is a lot of scrubby! I agree there are too many novelty yarns in these that I don’t find personal value in these boxes either. It was fun and exciting though!

My son swore he was going to learn to do it and make himself a blanket. He never did it. One of these days I’m going to do it and gift it to him. Have a great weekend!

Hi Mama G. My daughters cat had chronic eye leaking and coughing and he was a really sick barn cat. He’s the cuddliest cat ever . Those two are in love with each other to the moon and back. Sorry you got sucky yarn 😊

i was working when I saw the notification of this video on my phone but I heard the song in my mind! :) I love the rainbow cat in the background. That's a lot of scrubby cotton. :( Homespun was the yarn I learned to crochet with. Good cause it hid my errors, bad because it hid my errors. I had a lot of non rectangle or square items that were supposed to be square or rectangle. :) Its good to see what they have in them, although I'm glad i didn't get any. I never win at mystery bags. Only one that was ok for me was a Hobbii acrylic bag. That black/grey/white Homespun looks similar to what I used to make my baby Gargoyle. I remember the yarn came from Micheals but can't recall if it was store brand or that. My craft room is a bit on the wild side to find that skank atm.😂
Thanks for sharing. The last MM bag I bought was in Nov. I thought about it recently but didnt order...glad I didn't since I don't like the scrubby and loopy yarn or that Hometown. I like the bonbon ince its a 3 weight dk yarn that is nice but I prefer other colors way more than pink. 😊
Hey there,,, If that Scrubby yarn is cotton, maybe it would work up in a cool cat bed !!! Thats the kind of luck I have... to get all that less than desirable yarn. When you were getting the shimmer yarn, aI would have gotten that bag instead !!! 😮
Nice yarn I ordered two mystery bags then I waited a month or so and got the same yarn and as I did in the first one so now I have a ton of bonbon yarn in yellow and teal and then there were a few other colors of bonbon. I got a skein of that scrubby yarn. If your not going to use the bonbon in the pink let me know. I have some blankets to make for my granddaughters and of course I don't have any pink. That's if you're not going to use.

Last time I got a MM Mystery Bag I got scrubby eewww . Not a fan of the loopy either. Now, HomeSpun makes great winter sweaters and ponchos.
