  • If you're interested in investing in the Dominican Republic, then this is the video for you! In this video, I'm sharing with you the easiest way to invest in the Dominican Republic, using certificates of deposit (CDs).
    CDs are a great way to invest, because you get a fixed rate of interest on your money. Plus, you can usually get interest rates that are much higher than the interest rates offered on other kinds of investments. In this video, I'll show you how to invest in CDs in the Dominican Republic, and help you find the best rates available!

    People make it complicated she is explaining in pesos and dollars. (FOR BANCO SANTA CRUZ) Pesos being the best option to invest since it would give you the highest % return of 8.2%. For example 1million pesos is $18,100US. So since IN PESOS is that you would get the highest return 8.2% gain a year on that 1 million which is equal to $82,000 thousand PESOS. Which is $14900US of profit per year on the initial investment of $18,100. Now would be $19,500 at the en of the year. That’s how much profit you generated. $1400US dollars dividend by 12 months it’s $116US. That’s a profit of $6000 PESOS per month. GREAT TO grow your money passively like she said. But don’t think that you can live out of that money . Like she said unless you have a very large initial investment. Hope it helps. (If you decide to invest in dollars the % it’s a lot less so you would be making a lot less). With an investment of around $10,000,000 million pesos =$190,000 dollars, you can make a profit of $820,000 pesos which is $14,000US a year = $1,200US/month = $68,000 pesos. Which a single person that own it’s house and has low expenses can live off. 😊

    Be very careful with real estate. Do not jump into anything fast. For example you can buy a nice villa in the mountains. But did you consider the maintenance? 24/7 summer. paint, rain, mold, seismic activity, landscaping. There is a deal as Norberis says. But you have to do your homework it is complicated.

    interests rates don't matter if the currency is getting debased at a rate higher than that of the interest. can still trade the dollar and euro at a later time because at that time you would still get more peso's for each dollar or euro

    • @NorberisR
      @NorberisR  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I need to make sure that the money is insured but I think it is. All investments have risk, since we've been here the pesos has fluctuated around 3 to 4 pesos which is nothing. Looking at past performance of the pesos can help one determine if it's a good investment. I don't think the peso will do what Bitcoin did🤣😂

      In my opinion, they report you to IRS & thus, you have to pay taxes on whatever investment you make.
      Double taxes.
      Here in DGI & USA through IRS.
      Couple that with deapresation & inflation, not short if it worth investing

    So let's say someone invests into a certificado financiero at Banco Santa Cruz an amount of 1 million DR Pesos (which is only about USD $18,000) at 8% per year, that 8% itself will produce at least the equivalent of $1,400 per month. That could take care of a large portion of one's living expenses. If one added more (2 million=$36,000) to the Certificado it would absolutely cover everything of a couple's living expenses and one would probably not have to spend anything else except in the case of an emergency.....Norberis, what are the reasons for the good rates in Pesos compared to dollars in the Dominican banks?

    • @NorberisR
      @NorberisR  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your math is a little off in this example. $1400 is not per month it's per year and monthly and monthly payment were $116

    Hello, love your comments on investment. My question is , is Santa Cruz Bank still offering 8.2% for there CD certificate. Reason I ask is, you can’t find any rates like that here in the US. Based on that information investing 100k to get a return of $8200 sound great. But is it real ?

    • @NorberisR
      @NorberisR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to understand the 8.2% interest is if you invest 5.5 millions pesos which is equivalent to $100k USD. You will earned $451,000 in pesos which is equivalent to $8,200 USD. If you invested the 100k is USD the return rate was I believe around 3%. So with a USD investment you make around $3,000. These are the rates the bank gave me after speaking with them personally. There no reason for me to believe it's not real. Again, reach out to the bank yourself do your own research and determine for yourself if it's real or not.

    • @ecaba101
      @ecaba101 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NorberisR I will reach out to the bank. If these are the rates from Transaction in DR peso, it’s well worth it to invest. Someone with $500k US can exchange it to peso and make at least $40k per year. You can possibly make $3300 per monthly, now that’s good money to live off in DR !

    • @NorberisR
      @NorberisR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. This is how you have to look at it. People like throw in the strength of the pesos. Again you only have to keep it there for a minimum of 1 year to get this type of interest. I don't see anything drastically happening in that one year to the peso.

    Norberis, does the INESPRE agency protect foreigners from scamming by doctors, real estate agencies, etc. since these things can have the effect of sabotaging the tourist industry by driving tourists away??

    • @NorberisR

      INESPRE is not that type of agency. Why would DR have an institution like this? The way you protect yourself is by doing your research and aligning yourself with the right people.
