I have never played a Final fantasy game before playing rebirth (I have since started playing remake) but this entire scene made me cry and puts me into a weird state of depression because I absolutely loved Aerith she was just this lovable character and she had such a likable personality that I wanted to protect at all costs and I felt like I failed her and lost someone who I deeply loved
