इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेभ्यस्तस्य प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठिता।।
Just as a tortoise withdraws its limbs into its shell, similarly the one who withdraws his senses from worldly objects,gets established in divine wisdom.
~ Bhagavad Gita 2.58
A seeker found it very interesting that Shri Krishna is talking of withdrawing the senses and mind from worldly objects.
He mentioned this to Acharya Prashant and a conversation ensued.

This is the most realistic conversation I have ever heard from a spiritual person. Acharya ji, no words to describe you.....you just made me cry. A lot of my ego started to tremble while watching this video, I have realised that I need to have discretion rather than avoidance. Solely condemning anything won't work, realising it's futility by seeing through it is the solution.

Something that you are avoiding a lot , will always be something you value a lot.
If you are renouncing out of discomfort then you are not renouncing at all then you are still very very attached. Something made you uncomfortable there means something still holds significance for you there. You have to come to a point where you become comfortable.
The person is really like me in many terms- introvert, feels discomfort at social places, likes to be in comfort zone all the time. We are from the same state as well. A lot of things need to be corrected in us, specially me because I have to build my career, he has done with it.

We have this preconception that abstaining from the world is making us a awaken person, but Acharya ji wants us to realise that abstaining from the world because of morality or ideas is mere an escape we choose , it means deep down we still see some worth in that, real spirituality is to know the futility of this game of life and even when you are in midst of it you don't feel discomfort,you accept life as it is.
Acharya ji I understand when you talk about spirituality at that very moment .we got those glimpses but after sometime it faded away. But it at same time changes something within.

I too have always been aware of the fact that the knowledge of the scriptures might become the protecting shell of our ego, that's why I think one needs poetry and literature that just cuts apart a man's heart, without promising him any existence of soul or spirit.
