    Love Donna Hay. Had a subscription to her magazine when I was working - such an indulgence.

    Love the Buddha! He is so cool!!
    I finally just finished sewing block 6 so you don’t need to rush the others out quite yet. I’ve been busy with family and it’s been a hectic few months. I am totally out of the loop in all social media and haven’t posted block 6 yet; hopefully I will by Monday!
    Lovely vlog, was great to see our darling Charlie-boy and brownies sound absolutely scrummy! 😍

    Yay🐾 Charlie Boy🐾. I just love him. He’s so sweet hanging out at your window. Love your sundress. You got a lot accomplished!!! Love your choices for the star blocks. Great job on the advent calendar. Maybe you can get a box of chocolates that are different kinds and have one each day of the month! The dollhouse mini is so cute. The fabrics are perfect.
    Do they leave these sculptures up all the time? Loved your whiskey on the rocks. That was perfect. Hard to imagine it summer there and winter here. Maybe you need to go lay in that awesome pool. Know that’s where I would be! Happy Week 🤗🐾🤗🐾🤗

      The Sculpture by the Sea is put on every year and it only last for about a fortnight and then they move it on to another beach/state. It would be lovely if they left them up permanently - some of them are so creative! :)

    Hi Amanda! I really enjoyed your vlog, as always. You captured some great shots at Bondi. Such a beautiful part of Sydney. I grew up in various parts of inner west/south west Sydney but we never got over to the Eastern suburbs beaches, for us it was always Wollongong. Loved your browse thru Myer too, please include some more shopping bits in future vlogs!!

    Thank you for sharing your beach adventures! What a wonderful place to go for a day. Your fabric choices for your Lucky Star blocks are beautiful. Hard to believe that we are getting near the end for mini qal, I've really enjoyed the process and between work and school, the mini blocks come together quickly and I can actually participate. The advent calendar looks wonderful, great design job! Will you film a tutorial for that or just the finished product? I would love to see either one. Thank you for the great blog!

    Thank you Amanda for another great video. I am like Susan - it was so much fun to see the sand and beach because it was a cold and dreary day here in Kansas with a few snow flurries too. Your little block turned out so cute. Love all of your ideas and things. Was sitting and finishing the binding on a Christmas quilt I am making for my daughter. Wouldn't it be fun if all of us in the different places could get together and visit and sew together once in awhile? Anyway thanks again for sharing with us.

    Hi Amanda, I did not leave a comment for a while so I thought it's time now 😉 I really enjoy your vlogs - you are such a sympathic woman, with same interests I have (some at least) and I really like your tutorials. The dollhouse is so adorable and I love the Mini Block series, I just need some time to sew them 👍The lucky Stars are beautiful as well. Sending hugs from Germany, Stephanie

    Amanda love your summer dress...Does Charlie ever jump in the pool, also wondering if now since it’s summer time, do you have lots of poisonous snakes coming in the yard, just heard on other you-tubers that live Australia that the poisonous snakes are coming out..thank you for bringing us along on your trip to the Oceanside, love seeing all the different things that different countries have.

    • @AmandaRolfe
      @AmandaRolfe  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, Charlie doesn't jump in the pool. I think it's a bit too big for him!
      We don't often get poisonous snakes in our backyard. Living in the suburbs (and on a very busy main road) usually doesn't attract snakes to our area. If they do, it's usually a one off and creates a lot of interest!
      We do sometimes get the typical creepy-crawlies (spiders etc.) but again, it's not often.

      Amanda Rolfe ; Thank you Amanda for replying back, didn’t know if you ventured out in the yard if you had to worry about that or not, with Charlie being outside. We had to put a separate fence around our pool besides the 6ft privacy fence, our three dogs which aren’t really water bred dogs, Siberian, German shepherd & Pomeranian would jump in the pool, we have a cabin on a lake, so they got use to the water...Thank you again for responding back..Really enjoy your videos.

    Beautiful blocks but I am just wondering if you have sewn the half square triangles on backwards on the right side, on the basket block.

    • @AmandaRolfe
      @AmandaRolfe  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I made a major mistake while piecing this block together! By the time I realised it, it was too late to unpick and correct it!

    Amanda block 7 is beautiful! Kimberly from Fat quater shop said to use one ruler through out the whole quilt so the measurements will be accurate. Can you make a video of how to take a design and figured out the measurements. I have a book that has 500 blocks but there are no measurement. I want to make a quilt that have different designs but same size blocks . Tfs your days with us!

    Are you doing the opening of an Advent calendar this year as well as making one? I wanted to ask if you had quilted the star quilt that's up on the hangers? Really enjoyed the sculptures some very amazing things there, I agree with your title "whiskey on the rocks"! I really like both of the last blocks. I was actually thinking of making a school house wall hanging. I made the Lucky Star wall hanging mine is 4 blocks, I'll try to tag you on IG so you can see mine it's not quilted yet. I just finished quilting 4 quilts and am working on one today that I can't wait to quilt. Are all of your family (at home) chocoholics?? I was just wondering because of the cake you showed in that lovely book and then you made the brownies. Thanks for a lovely vlog.

      At the moment, I have one advent calendar that I'll be opening during vlogmas. It's very different from last years sewing one, but it's still very cool!! :)
      And it's just me who loves chocolate as much as I do! It's one of my many weaknesses! :D
