Always felt this film could be seen as a kind of sequel to Sharky's Machine. There are many similaritiea between them...the pairing of Reynolds & Casey as cops, the ultraviolent shootouts, the unhinged assassins (played by Henry Silva & James Remar respectively) & much of the same jokes come to think of it ("Is he dead?" 😂)
