    For mobile DJ's you can absolutely use this unit as your main controller. Id obviously plug it into a better mixer simply for a better microphone and speaker outputs but this can be usef time and time again for weddings, graduation or corporate parties all day long. It plays music and the rest is up to you the Dee Jay.

    Jus picked up a Pro Go for £550 2nd hand, mint condition...absolute game-changer especially the the Engine-DJ software which is the business...The controller is not quite 'pro' but I have only just 'upgradrd' from a Mixstream Platinum, so the fact that I don't need a computer is brilliant!!!
    This is only my second DJ Controller anyway...so the 'lack' of some hardware features is not an issue for me...The 'record' featuere alone makes it a mustt-have in my view.
    As mentione by Phil, it is soo much FUN, it makes mixing almost as accessible as vinyl...Just load up a couple of tracks off an SD card od USB thumb drive, and just play, mess around, try stuff and just have a lotta fun...Still waiting for that 10" screen and 'pro' I/O as i mentioned in my last post...It's coming though..I think the revolution is here, now!
    Just watch the market over the next 18 months....remember, i called it..! lol.

    Deciding factor for me for a backup unit was the fact this has the Amazon Prime Music chip. Yes, music loads dreadfully slow, but I have some amazing playlists I've put together over years' time. It's really nice to have this feature alongside Beatsource, which works like a dream on my Denon SC Live 4. Can't beat the price, and the speakers will make it easy for me to practice anywhere.

      You say music loads painfully slow. Could it be you have slow internet? I’m setting up my sc live 4 tonight and was going to use Amazon music to start and I hope I don’t have to wait 20 plus seconds to load a song

    I started djing with a mixstream pro. Been rocking it on a battery power for the last one year. It's simply amazing. The engine dj software is great and the device got only better with time. I bought an rx3 but tbh the numark completely murders it.

    • @yohann44
      @yohann44 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you don't think there is maybe the EQ don't do really the job like a EQ DJ should do ? there is no isolation of the sound , finallement its bad for mixing ( I got the mixstream )

    • @djdontgetcooked
      @djdontgetcooked ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@yohann44 Thanks for the response! Short answer: I don't like using EQ on Master Channel at all because I do my eq inside ableton at the transition points.
      Long answer: I focus on songs that mix well together harmonically and structurally and for the most part I'm using the volume faders, echo effect and filter.
      I'm using the EQ only when needed or if I'm not familiar with the song or have not edited it (for a safety net). Because I've seen a lot of people that bass swap every single transition and this results in inconsistency especially in ISO Mode. Iso mode on mid frequency to get an acapella also is bad because the result are quite messy and inconsistent due to the nature of the EDM music and complexity of the human voice.
      To be honest since I started music production I realized that a lot of the heavy lifting when doing a dj set is done in ableton and not on the decs itself. Some big names literally have a prerecorded set, some have 5 20 min tracks on their Usb drives. Some other DJ's have edited all the tracks inside ableton where they carefully EQ every song at the transition points to fit frequency wise with the next song because the tools inside ableton are a lot more precise. Also they make sure the volume levels are consistent throughout the dj set.
      Sorry for the wall of Text!

    • @yohann44
      @yohann44 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@djdontgetcooked OK thanks for the answer. Why you say ableton ? you can mix EQ in direct with ableton live ?

    Game changer.? Possibly...I have been a vinyl DJ singe the lat 80's, I have until recently hated digital...My son bought me a 2nd hand mixtrack pro as an 'experiment'...4 years ago...I upgraded to Platinum shortly after...but still hated that I had to have a laptop sat next to my deck...so I still only played 'vinyl' 'out'...
    The 'Go Pro' might just be the unit that changes my mind, and the minds of other vinyl-heads like me...
    The fact that the unit is totally wireless, has high-end pro software built-in with Serato & VDJ compatibility coming soon, will be sending out a signal/challenge to others on how to do things...
    What In-Music need to do next, is release a pro/semi-pro unit with a 10" screen, the features of the Mixstream and the I/O of the Denon Prime, whilst adding a few more buttons for around $1100-£1200. that will really give Pioneer a kick up the butt and open up the world of D DJ-ing to a whole new demographic...
    I honestly think the Pro Go marks the begining of a new era...a lot of laptops are gonna get ditched and a lot of controllers are gonna be on the 2nd hand market in the next 2-3 years as most folk move to standalone units....it's the next stage in DJ evolution...remember, I called it..!

    Very good video, im doubting with numark pro go and SC live 2, i wanna a full portable stuff, and add a external battery to the SC live 2, but im wondering if Its worth the price diference between numark go and SC live 2, because only a lot of more fx, little bit better sound at own speakers, and little bit better material quality construction between this two? And pro go IS full portable but maybe IS a toy.
    Because Both are plastic right?
    So im in this doubt, i Will apreciate a full comparision, because numark is the lowest line of inmusic but this sc live 2 i dont know if IS worth It at all.

    Just purchased this to have some fun with in my spare time. Question though, thinking long term value and updates. You mentioned that there were two other units prior to this one and aside from the battery and adding in other music subscription services, they are the same. I am hoping that the built in chip on the software has been updated as well during the years, or is it still several years old…. Would hate to buy this and in a year the software is too much for the hardware and I either stop getting updates or it simply becomes a slug and slow to use. Thanks for any feedback on this question

    Wi-Fi enabled, and streaming directly off my Tidal playlists.
    I noticed that when I hover my hand over the platter (approximately 1 inch) it will stutter the playback of the track and will COMPLETELY pause the track if I keep my hand steady hovered above the deck that’s playing. Strange huh? And it only does it on the deck that’s playing. Oh and I also switched the scratch mode to “smart” held my hand hovered over the deck and it pauses the track as if I were physically holding it… and it shows on the beat grid.
