- A FFXIV music video for Heavensward in tribute of the incredible expansion to A Realm Reborn and my playthrough experience. "Legends Never Die" from Riot Games was the perfect song to tell the story of the incredible characters from this expansion: Haurchefant, Ysale, Estinein, Aymeric, and the rest.

I audibly gasped seeing the footage taken from in game battles! Usually gmvs stick to cut scene combat, this is great! The editing and scene choices were expertly done. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this.
That said, you asked what expansion I'd like to see next? I feel Stormblood is rather unappreciated as an expansion, as it's sandwiched between Heavensward and Shadowbringers. If I had any of the skills needed, I'd have already set footage from Stormblood to Wolf Totem by the Hu faturing Jacoby Shaddix.
Thank you! I knew going into this project that the Nidhogg battle would be a challenge to truly showcase the epicness of the moment. Fortunately I have a good group of friends who didn't mind helping me get good clips, and the moment came together better than I could have expected.
I'm very soon wrapping up playing through Stormblood MSQ, so it's next up on my list! I've been considering a few song options, so thank you for giving a recommendation! Will check it out now!
@@jake-kelton the song I mentioned is mostly a traditional mongolian war chant with full on throat singing, set to metal, with an english rocker adding in some lyrics in our language. Sounds perfect for me about an outsider coming along and instantly vibing with the people of the Steppes.
Congradulations on having such great friends. I wouldn't be surprised if you had to run the fight multiple times to get all the shots just right.

Great video and awesome editing, got literal chills. Ysayle is my most beloved character in FFXIV so I'm incredibly happy to see her in this video, and done so well too
Thank you! I teared up so many times editing her section. Her final scenes hits so hard and I've gone on so many rambles about how her showing up to help remove the eyes was so powerful because I hated that she was lost before the end of the dragonsong war. So good. I think for me, that was when it really clicked how good FFXIV's storytellers are.
@@jake-keltonShe definitely has some of if not the most powerful scenes (biased opinion haha) in the story. I remember not crying at the Azys Lla scene but instead her death hit me like a truck for the rest of the week or two, full-on mourning, my poor friends' DMs- I still haven't moved on from the first stage of grief and it's been a few months now 😅
She had so so much potential, and it's such a shame to see her mostly forgotten now, but it's also so realistic - war and death does often claim lives like hers- which just like you, it made the story click with me and I had high hopes that SE won't pull any punches with deaths going forward... Imagine my disappointment when now everybody can just be brought back from the dead or Deus-Ex-Machinad out of a certain death situation, it really is quite infuriating.
Sorry for the long reply, I'm just happy to see more people not only remembering her but appreciating her, she's so underrated ❤

@@lemoncoughdrop707 Shinryu was already propped up as a mega-boss, but being merged with Zenos just took it to a whole new level, haha. Epic storyline. Are you working through Shadowbringers now?
