I have a question. I love this, it's so beautiful! Is it actually meant to be used, though? I wonder how warm it would be? If this is a stupid question, I'm sorry! I am one of those heathens that buys beautiful hand towels and uses them, too, LoL!
I really love texture and I do love this. I have a question.. when starting with a new color and you make a chain 3, is that considered a double crochet and if so can you make it a standing double crochet instead of the chain 3? I also thought maybe an ombre yarn for this pattern would work.. let me know if that would be ok or not. Thank you for a beautiful tutorial ❤️
I (never attracted much to grannies myself) watched this and today ordered a TON of brightly colored yarns and a dark navy for the background. I CANNOT wait for it all to get here!!! You are the most lovely & sweet enabler ev-er!!! Not to mention a great Instructor, LOVE your channel!
Robin, you are such a good teacher and make things very clear. Thanks for not blabbering on about rubbish, and being so articulate and engaging. You are also quite funny and seem so very likeable. It is a joy to watch these tutorials. Thank you.
Your directions are absolutely amazing!! You don't bore us with nonsense you stick to the pattern. I am so excited to start this. Thank you for doing this tutorial. I have never done a granny square but your directions are impeccable so I am sure I can follow this.
Robin you are by far my FAVORITE pattern instructor. I was taught by my aunt when I was 10 (43 years ago) and the written patterns always make my head spin… LOL. Because of you I have been able to recreate MANY projects over the last 3 years and it’s ALWAYS a big hit for Birthdays and Christmas. Just started this AWESOME pattern and can’t wait to finish it.
Oh my this looked very complicated until I watched the video. You are an amazing teacher. I love the join as you go also. I've made 4 blankets since I've learned this. Thank you for all you do.
You come up with some of the most beautiful fun patterns. I always think they will be too difficult. But your tutorials are absolutely clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
I agree! You are a great teacher. Some U tubers only show a sample of how the pattern goes. That does not help to learn new stitches! Thank you! I am so glad to see you back teaching. Well, glad to hear your voice. How is your cat who used to walk all over your table? Funny & cute!
I learned how to make regular granny squares specifically so that I could make these and make blankets for myself, mom, and mother in law!!! 😅 I won’t be done for a long time but this tutorial is so great!!! Very easy to follow and you show everything super clearly so I know exactly where to go. I’m very much still a beginner but i’ve finished about 3 stuffed things before trying granny squares lol
I love this petal granny. So creative!! 😊 So glad you’re feeling like posting again. You inspire so many of us crocheters! 🧶 Thanks for sharing your talent with the world
I love this pattern. I can see me using up my scrap yarn from other projects and adding to my collection of afghans. So glad that I looked at this one. Beautiful work.
There are not many TH-cam Videos I can listen to and tolerate. I usually have to turn off the sound and turn on subtitles for patterns I REALLY like. However, you have such a beautiful and soothing voice! Your patterns are beautiful and I truly enjoyed crocheting (with you) Thank you so much for sharing!
I absolutely love this pattern for a granny square. It's definitely doable for a beginner... i'm 1 5ftx4ft afghan and 2 3.5ftx2.5ft into my hopefully long road of crocheting... the true difficulty is how fast you can pick up doing the magic ring. I got lucky... after two attempts and several curse words later, I got the hang on making them on the third try. These squares are wonderful when done, and they build up incredibly fast.
Absolutely LOVE this 3-D petal granny square! I don’t know of another instructor who could explain the steps taken so clearly to make this square other than you! Your instructions are spot on and you keep your attention on the steps being taken! Thank you so much, Robin, for sharing your amazing tutorial for this gorgeous 3-D granny!! 💕🤗💕
Was looking for something to replace my old cushions with and find this your tutorial. So easy and fun to make and final effect is stunning no matter what yarn you are using for this project. Thanks a million! My knitting or crochet is very loose,so I'm using lower size hooks or knitting needles as yarn requires all the time. This pattern is 'loose' itself,so I had to add an extra row of slip stitches on your DC bonus row to frame it and 2sl st/1ch/2sl st in the corners. It looks perfect now. Maybe for someone it will be helpful, who just starts crochet journey .Will be joining squares in zig zag stitching. Love this method 😁
Hi Robin I'm new so I didn't know you were sick but I am very happy to hear you are healthy and well again. I so love your channel. You have the most beautiful designs. This is gorgeous!!! I love your tutorials and you have a beautiful accent. It's very soothing listening to you. Many Blessings. 😁💕💕💕
My goodness! I just found you last week and already I've learned 3 stitches from you. You are absolutely the best at explaining patterns in a simple manner! Thank you so much, Robin! I really appreciate you doing this for this ole gal! I laid my crochet down about 2 years ago because of medical reasons, neck, shoulder, etc...crocheting caused too much pain. Plus, my mom passed away and she was my biggest fan. But, I decided I wanted to start again. New medicine, mom's memories and your video's and I have my cro-jo back. Thanks a million!
Hi Renee I know what you mean about your mom been your biggest fan mine was too.glad you got back to your crochet.sending many blessings to you from Ireland 🍀🍀
Genius, simply genius!! I love this pattern! If you created it then you're genius. If you just made the tutorial you are still a genius!! Thank you for sharing it!
I thought this looked daunting at first, but the stitches are ones I already knew, making it easy once I got the rhythm down. You made this tutorial so clear to follow, and it's such a lovely pattern, that looks so complex, even with common stitches. Thank you so much! I love this pattern so much! 💮💖🌈💮
Robin, thank you do much for sharing this tutorial. I love the way you clearly explain everything you talk about in your tutorial. I am in America and love your tutorials. ❤😊⚘️
I’m so glad you and your family are doing better! This is another home run pattern! Absolutely gorgeous with a high level of 3D texture. You are the best teacher with clear step by step instructions. I’ve already started a Christmas gift with this pattern. Many thanks!
It is amazing! Easy to follow! I usually write out the patterns before trying the project. But it was so well explained and I was so excited about it that I just turned off the video and made one, checking back just to make sure I was remembering correctly. It was easy to do and I love it! Thank you! Now to get more yarn so that I can complete an afghan! Thank you!
I am so happy to see on my notifications “hooked by Robin!” Oh how I’ve missed your tutorials. So sorry to hear you and your daughter weren’t feeling well. Hope all is well!
What a beautiful, easy pattern with great effect. So nice and shiny. You are a great, clear talking teacher with such a touching voice. Thank you from the heart for sharing your talent with us 😘💖🙏🌷
Robin welcome back. The tutorial is stunning. I’m so happy that you have fully recovered. I had covid as well and thank god I’m testing negative right now but I think I’m yet to recover from exhaustion and I can’t seem to want to go back to crocheting just yet.
I’m with you on this! Just recovered from covid, whole family got it. And all I can manage to do at the minute is short bursts of small 3 round granny squares 🙈🙈
Yes I know the feeling. Vitamin D3 in olive oil and Vitamin B complex is what gets you right and don't forget the zinc. I'm taking Vit K2 as well to digest the Vit D. Hope this helps, it helped me no end and I have lupus.
Hi! I'm new to your Channel. I'm very impressed with the look of this granny square. And it's nothing like the Crocodile Stitch. I love learning new Stitches, even though I've been crocheting for 53 years. Thank you so much for your tutorial! I look forward to watching more of your videos!
Only 1 minute in and I had to comment! First of all, I hope you and the family are feeling 100% or at least better❤. Wow, you really know how to make an entrance for 2022, Robin!! Welcome back, you've been greatly missed. Now, on to the rest of the video.
This is absolutely beautiful! Such an easy pattern that looks like it took years to work. I was able to work a quick sample with some scrap yarn I had in hand. Perfect for a nice blanket.
I crochet a lot & watch so many videos but yours is so unique, it looks very hard & complicated but when I followed the tutorial it's easy, beautiful work💖💖💖
Absolutely gorgeous Robin!! I could watch you, Sirin & Olga crochet all day every day I do believe. Can’t wait to practice this beauty. Your ‘Wonky’ is my ‘ClusterFuck’. Hope you have a great week. 😃
This is a beautiful granny petal square! It look so simple when you do it that I feel I might be able to pull it off one day. Thx for the great tutorial Robin!

@@donyaw.1453 yes absolutely! The chain 3 counts as a double crochet so you can easily replace that with a standing double 😀

Haha a kindred spirit! I got my instant gratification by joining 4 sample squares but am ABSOLUTELY planning a blanket at some point in the future! 😀
The petals look sophisticated but yet very simple to stitch. I love it and will make mine today.
I hope you enjoy it Marisa.😃🌸

Definitely! Once you get the hang of it, it works up so quickly.😀 So many people find the magic ring tricky, so you aren't alone there.
