Brilliant set of tips Jon sometimes simple is easy to miss think elastic is brill idea as I use cord but will try it thank you. Hope you and family have had great Xmas and all the best for 2019
Thanks Jon for great tips as always. Does anyone (Jon included) have a link they could post to a source for SOFT bungee elastic to use to tie back keepnets? I've tried twice on eBay and both times the elastic is far too firm and not much different to a length of string.
Hi jon , forgive if this sounds daft . Does pinning the nets pull the net out the water With less net in the water,or do the fish Weight it down? I always use tiny weights on the V to pin them down ? Would pinning like you have said be better for fish wellfare and space, Thanks May the f1s be With you ( afterlockdown)😂
I think either is fine so long as you make sure 90% of the net or more is submerged. My way with elastic stretching ensures the net stays where it is, compared to using string/laces etc.

I just use old offcuts. Try 10-12 or 12-14 Slik.
bloody good tip pal
✔ Good advice, as per usual. You and the family have a great Christmas.
