I love how you have both 6 figure and 3 figure cars. Don’t ever change! Black m3 is def a parts car. Maybe, maybe someone would want the chassis for a race pig, but with so many other projects I doubt you have the time to sit on it and wait. Strip it of the goods, throw it on marketplace for a couple hundo and someone will grab the shell. Blue one like you said needs further looking into. Even if the frame rail and strut tower is pooched, it can all be fixed and those parts are there from the black car. Just depends on what it needs and how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. And still have a no title M3. Lot of good parts to sell off it tho. I almost think you should take all the clean interior bits out of the blue one and put into the white one. Rebuild the blue one as the track car using the cage and seats from the white car. Then you have one nice clean sellable car with the white one. Possible track car with the blue one. I’ve never been big into the E36, prefer the E46, but I do appreciate when I see a nice clean E36. So many have been clapped out on their 7th+ owner or turned into drift/race pigs.
I will never change! I appreciate you appreciating my range!! ;). And your assessment here is spot on! I think logically you have nailed it on what I should do with the 3. My only hesitation is all the efforts of swapping everything between both cars and then neither one becomes more valuable haha, issue is once that cage is bolted in that car is forever a “once caged” car haha
Same here. I subscribed and started watching this channel a looong time ago because of your E36 content. Your e46 and e34 content was also awesome. I miss your yellow M3, glad you have E36s again. I ❤ BMWs from this era. I have an E39 and three E36s myself. Its a freaking addiction. All minty and I'm gonna hang on to them forever. ❤
Definitely worth attempting to straighten out the estoril blue m3. Such a nice color on a e36 too. And worst case can never get a title for it what so ever it would make killer track car. Part out and gut the interior and extra weight not needed. Extra content for dayssss
Looks like a lot of fun, subbed! Could use the doors and trunk and probably many other bits off the estoril for my '99, if you're anywhere near the PNW, be a shame to have to part it tho.. mine was wrecked in a similar way, but a bit worse, by the PO at 20k. We (Dad and me) got it from the auction and rebuilt using a front clip from a '95 328is, that was over two decades and 240k miles ago ;)
Man, hate to see that Estoril car like that. That’s my dream attainable m3. I think it would make a perfect track car if that’s what you’re into. I would definitely rebuild it if the frame isn’t tweaked to hell. Or take the drivetrain out and sell me the body. I’ll use my coupe to fix it lol
Track the white one with a turbo on it and better suspension. Fix the blue one, looks great. I beleive is fixable. The third, engine and trans on an older ride. Nice buy Josh. Here in P.R. the cheapest M3 , and its a E46 is 22,000
Get the best of both worlds! Swap all that interior from the estoril into the alpine white car and make a OEM fresh M3 out of it, especially with the recent glass out respray. The RK's look perfect on that car. Swap all the track oriented stuff into the estoril and try and pull what you can. Would make sense making the estoril a track weapon given its accident, just my thoughts. Regardless, looking forward to E36 content again!
idk how it is in your state but you can fix it and file for a 3 year registration thing plus you could cut that fender well section and use the one from the black one
Would love to see you try to save that Estoril Blue M3. I am not sure there is a way to profit off of it, but from a sentimental standpoint, would like to see saved. My first E36 M3 was Estoril over Dove. Loved that car. Was a coupe and I sold when my daughter was born.
My racecar took a trip off the road at the dragon 10 years ago (ripped the front left wheel off and the shock collapsed the strut tower as it got pulled backwards) - frame shop hammered it straight, years later finished 7th in GLTC season standings. SAVE THAT BLUE CAR. It’s a worthwhile endeavor. Also bring that white car to Gridlife.
Running that white E36 on track is a good way to learn track driving without potentially folding an E2x into a ball. Then build something older once you're comfortable on track.
The perfect solution is to take the track parts of the alpine and put them into the Astori Bule one! Then you have a no title track car and a nice stock e36 m3!
be careful with those belts if they don't have a sub-strap / 5th / 6th point. most tracks won't allow that setup without one. terrible way to go when the shoulder belts lift the lap belts up into your organs in a crash.
The estoril blue is too clean, hope you can fix it! Since it has no title, it could be a great track car. Just need to swap the cage and recaro from the alpine white M3
The crashed side on the estoril car looks like the strut tower has been replaced before because the paint has clear coat on it and the other side doesn’t. That’s probably why it doesn’t have any seam sealer
@@m3nameisjosh464 Do you watch Joe Achilles? He’s bmw fan and he did it in his m2 completion track day car. He took the shifter out of the after he had to rebuild the engine.
I wouldn’t trust that roll bar! Looks like it’s for looks not actually going to save you! Slow roll in the snow yes once over, then after that the rear arms are going through the wheel well!! Looks like it’s just bolted to it!! With no reinforcement!! Let alone how the up rights are mounted? I built mine with intentions of slow roll cuz it being a vert and built boxes that tie into the roll bar three panels at least to spread the impact force! And that’s just for a slow roll!! Sorry death trap if you track it! Wouldn’t pass inspection😢
