Have you ever lost hope, needed to hear from God, and needed encouragement to carry on? We've been through many seasons in life when we needed to know and feel God's love. Be encouraged that He is faithful! He is our redeemer.
This was our testimony at the CCF Center for the May 14 Mother's Day service where Peter Tanchi Jr used this for the story of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz.
    Here's part of the script:
    ~~
Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story-- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, - Psalm 107:2
    Ardy:
I’ll always remember that September day, 29 years ago, when God used Tingting, my ex-girlfriend who would later on become my first late wife, to bring me to a CCF Bible Study in Makati. I was a 29-yr old entrepreneur, writer and Playboy publisher wanna-be, who was depressed and broke, fresh from a failed business venture.
At the Bible Study, God’s word became alive to me like never before. When the gospel was shared I received Christ as my Lord and Saviour. And that turned out to be Tingting’s answered prayer.
Tingting and I got married a year later, but after 5 years, she was diagnosed with life threatening lupus and almost died in the hospital. Miraculously, God healed Tingting and she lived lupus free for 10 years. But then in 2012, the lupus came back with a vengeance and after six months of intensive care, Tingting took her last breath as I held her in my arms.**
So I became a widower at the age of 47, a single parent with a 5 year-old son named Josh. Every time I would grieve and eat tears for breakfast, God would comfort me saying, “Anak, don’t be sad. You will love again. I’m going to give you one more great love.” And it’s true. The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.* **
The Lord also used my son to encourage me. On my 48th birthday, after blowing the candles of my cake, Josh told me: “Dad, I wish that God will give you a new wife. So that I can have a new Mom.”
And the God of the Universe answered Josh’s prayer and matched us with…
    Miriam:
I was on top of the world after I came home from the Ms Universe pageant 1999 winning as the1st runner up. Shows, endorsements, and awards followed but in the middle of limelight, I found myself still searching for meaning & happiness. I thought marriage and starting a family of my own will do that so when my Italian boyfriend proposed, I said Yes and left everything to be with my new husband in HK.
One day, I found myself staring out at the edge of my hotel balcony in another country. My marriage with my Italian millionaire husband was on the rocks. That afternoon, a voice told me, “Jump and all problems of the world will end.”
But then there was another voice, a much gentler-and I know now it was the voice of the Spirit-who said:
“If you kill yourself, that is not love.” And love was what I was truly looking for.
I stepped back and chose to live another day. However, after 2.5 years of marriage, my husband asked for a divorce, and eventually married a younger woman and has a child with her. What I thought was forever, was now over so I asked God to end my life.
Back in Manila, anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts lasted for a couple more years. I then realized that the only way out was to go back to the God of my youth. And that was Jesus. But I realized that outside of my religion class, I didn’t really know Him, so out of desperation, I prayed, “Jesus, I want to know you more.”

Truly the voice of God as He whisper in our heart is the truth. Relate much how God whispered Ardy’s name in your heart, so is mine too. Praise God for He is alive in our life!

New covenant still did not exist when Jesus was still with the apostles. He laid down everything - the commandments of God which made the men to be impossible to get saved like even when you did not commit adultery physically but lusting in mind then the sin of adultery is committed.
Thanks for the new covenant that made the impossible possible. Christ's sacrificial death made a way.
Jesus said; it is possible for the donkey to enter the needle than the rich men to enter heaven. And the disciples said; who then can be saved?
Jesus replied; With men it is impossible but with God nothing is impossible.
      Christ Himself made a way.

      Just sharing:
      June 9, 2014
      Dear Ardy,
It is CCF’s position that certain situations justify remarriage of a divorcee. While this position gives no specific descriptions or illustrations as to what these certain situations are, the principles stated are twofold: where reconciliation is not humanly possible and when the victims of divorce are exposed to greater sexual temptation.
In the case of your wife, Miriam, the Board made the following observations:
      1. Miriam was a victim of divorce because she was not the one who filed the petition for divorce, but her former husband.
      2. As a divorcee and a celebrity, she certainly was exposed to greater sexual temptation than she would have been if she was married.
      3. Her former husband remarried four years ago and now has a child by his present wife which makes reconciliation humanly impossible.
As Miriam met the requirements of the CCF policy on divorce and remarriage, the Board posed no objection to her marriage to you.
As to the Biblical support for CCF’s permission for you and Miriam to marry, the Board made the following declarations:
      1. Divorce per se is not a sin as there are qualifying circumstances for its permissibility. The Old Testament provides for a law on divorce and remarriage (Deuteronomy 24:1-4), Jesus recognized divorce although under one condition (Matthew 19:7-9) and so did Paul (1 Corinthians 7:15), and God used the concept of divorce to illustrate His judgment on Israel (Jeremiah 3:8).
      2. If the Bible recognizes divorce, then, by extension, it must also allow for the remarriage of a divorced person which is an inherent privilege granted by his or her status.
      3. As to the Biblical teachings on remarriage, 1 Corinthians 7:39 and Romans 7:1-3 address only the situation of a normal marriage. If a married woman remarries while her husband still lives then she commits adultery; but if her husband is dead, she does not commit adultery. This is plain and simple. But what about divorced or separated women? The cited passages do not address these situations. A possible verse to support the remarriage of divorced persons is 1 Corinthians 7:27-28, which contain the statement, “But even if you (someone who is “loosed from a wife”, presumably a divorced person) do marry, you have not sinned”. In any case, there is no clear passage of Scripture that prohibits, without exception, the remarriage of all divorced persons.
      4. At the very least, the issue on divorce and remarriage may be treated as an “adiaphorism”, which is the view that anything that is not explicitly forbidden in Scripture may be treated with indifference. This means that people who consider divorce or remarriage an adiaphorism will not endorse these acts, but they will not condemn it either. CCF, however, has chosen to make a stand, which is embodied in the following statement: As a general rule, we will not actively participate in second marriages when the former spouse is still alive. However, we recognize that there are situations where reconciliation is no longer humanly possible and where the victims of the divorce are exposed to greater sexual temptation. In such cases, the Elders may review requests for remarriages and, on unanimous agreement, accede to the requests.
I hope this reply will help you answer queries on your marriage. May God continue to bless you and your family and your ministry.
      In Christ,
      Peter
