Maybe the real Lisa, but her character as played by Angelina Jolie seems to be a sociopath alright. Lack of empathy, a disregard for laws and having several short but intense friendships (before Susanna she was friends with the girl who lived in her room) A bipolar personality often has a state in which they are depressive and in which they are indifferent and show apathy. This later is such a contrast to the manic state it's like two totally different personalities. Hence "bipolar".

I used to think I was a sociopath or a narcissist because I had a very hard time caring about others and I realized I didn't love my family or friends. At this point, I've realized I do love my cat and dog, and that I've always felt very bad about interrupting people or talking over them, though I still believe I'm on the steep end of the spectrum.

My doctor says I have extreme borderline tendencies, but she can't diagnose it yet because I'm not 18, and often times it's hard to tell whether the mood instabilities and etc are from BPD, or just hormones. She believes that it is more likely that I have multiple personality disorder though. Does anyone know anything about multiple personally disorder that could further extend my knowledge on the subject? Thanks!

I really related to this movie as a kid and when I got my bpd diagnosis last year it made me go “oh”
