- Button Mangosteens (Mencepu) taste so good 🧡
These little orange cuties (Garcinia prainiana) are native to Malaysia and southern Thailand and have a soft pliable peel and feel squishy like ripe Fuyu persimmons when you pick them.
They have juicy segmented flesh just like a mangosteen, but wow what a flavor explosion💥 Wait until they’re very dark orange so they’re both sweet and extremely acidic, with an intense citrusy, sunshiny aroma ☀️
🔎Just watch out for the juicy latex that makes your hands super sticky! It’s too bad these amazingly delicious mangosteens are so rare to find.
I like this fruit...
veryy sweets
I never had any that was sweet. Some people eat it with salt.
it looks like a cross between a mangosteen, a persimmon and a tomato 😅
Can we eat the skin?
