The same applies to congressmen and party-list representatives who flaunt costly attire, some even donning designer barongs and kimonas, evoking "Emildefic" vibes. And how can it be justified that a party-list representative, Xpeker’s wife, holds a seat as the chairperson of the Committee on Accounts? Be afraid.
Despite the original intent of the party-list system to represent marginalized sectors, it is now dominated by political families. These dynasties have extended their control within Congress, diluting the purpose of the party-list system. So when Xpeker claims that the people’s money is secure and can be trusted with him and the HOR, the response should be: it’s nothing but a grand deception, a "budol," and a big lie.
