- Turkey, France and Italy have decided to explore steps to revive production of the SAMP/T missile defence system. The issue was discussed when Turkish president met with French and Italian leaders in Brussels earlier this week. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was in Brussels for a NATO meeting on the Ukraine aggression.

This war has surely not only taught us about the map in that region, but also shown us that Turkey is a major player. Most Americans don't know that the major player in NATO on that continent is not US, UK or Germany. The Turkish defense industry produces modern air defense systems, Hisar O+ and Siper missiles with RF (Radiofrequency) heads are doing a good job. Actually, Turkey does not want the Samp-T system, only the anti-ballistic missile Aster 30 Block 1 NT? I can't remember the name exactly. We have the best launcher, software and radar. The West is not as honest as the Russians. We paid for it and they delivered it by plane in 6 months. And Turkey got the technology transfer in the big launcher as it wanted. The S-400 system, on the other hand, was integrated with the Turkish friend-enemy identification system. Turkish systems Hisar and Siper air defense systems will be a super thing, like the combination of all of them. When Turkish experience and reverse engineering are combined, the good aspects of the S-400 and Western systems will also come together. And the best Turkish air defense system. Turkish win-win balance policy won.

France would sell those jets in a heartbeat if asked for. It's a policy of the regime in Paris to help as much as they can in the sale of French military equipment.
If you want to know why Turkey doesn't have the French jet, it would be best to ask the Turks not the French who would be over the moon if such a sale happened.
Having already developed short and medium range systems, I think Turkey would have completed its indigenous long range air defence system soon.

I have been watching many videos about the war in Ukraine. Here is what I understand about the Russian war plan. Russians mainly wanted Mariupol (land bridge), Dunbass and Kherson (for water supply). They surrounded Kyiv and Kharkiv mainly to bog down the Ukrainian army in these cities so that it is easy for them to take Mariupol and Dunbass. Basically they attacked many locations to make it hard for the Ukrainian army to resupply and defend.
It's not what Russians want, it's what Russians don't want. The Nato expansion towards their boarder thats all brother..

Russia is ahead of these guys. They already tested their mach 16 hypersonic missile and probably by the end of this war they will test their Mach 20 hypersonic missile. It is possible that they are developing countermeasure for stinger and javelin missiles and western defensive weapons. With almost all of their new missiles hardwares and softwares tested in battle, they have raw data of the impact of their weaponry and it's strengths and weaknesses. They will improve their weaponry and will change their military doctrine to minimize their casualties with maximum impact to their enemies. This is crazy. We have many land and mobile systems including our navy the that surrounds us with the SM missile class that can shoot anything. Plus the missile interceptors in Alaska and I believe other places. I wouldn't be surprised if we start investing more into this soon because of China and not Russia.

Eurosam system is obsolete against hypersonic missile in my opinion... Maybe it's usable to drones and aircraft but a hypersonic missile capable of carrying nukes is already insanely hard to intercept by it's currently technology

No reason to try to "intercept" it, if you can screw up it's targeting and trajectory systems. But, of course that will cause them to hit in places they weren't supposed to, like maybe civilian areas. At it's speed, if confused, it cannot complete/update targeting fast enough.
You're right and USA confirmed that the the Russian hypersonic missile IS IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP, so far no tech can manage to intercept
There is no air defense system that can deal with hypersonic missiles.
Also there is no way these things will be developed to take down drones. Your enemy would love it if you used such a thing against drones. The missiles alone costs more than the drone you're trying to shoot down.
These types of air defense systems are made to stop planes and conventional missiles which at this stage is more than enough.
@@williamdavis9562 Actually, there ARE already ways to stop hypersonics. A "myth" has been developed around them that they can't be stopped. Not true. I can think of THREE ways, without even looking anything up! One, microwaves (already developed) focused at the missile, disrupts/destroys their guidance system. Two, Direct energy lasers, which need only hit the missile for a few seconds, causing it to explode. And, three, hit it at the weakest part of the journey, which is on it's final trajectory, and it will be flying slower than an ICBM. If you are close enough by, you can hit it will an already available SM-6, which can easily match it's seed at that time. The catch is to be close enough to where it is coming down. My point; hypersonics are onstoppable: UNTRUE!

Nice move to get rid of US military allegiance. Europe should minimize feeding the US arms industry. These 3 countries, even Germany and Spain, may be included in these, and they should focus on joint military projects. Europe's security depends on its own resources and the strengthening of its eastern flank. This is a win-win situation for everyone.

It's not about getting rid of U.S. allegiance. It's about NATO becoming MORE responsible for their OWN defense, instad of letting it all rest on the U.S. all the time! The U.S. WANTS this, too! Who would not? they are tired of shouldering the heaviest burdens, usually alone. Then, that will allow the U.S. to put MORE focus on it's OWN problems in the future, makeing them stronger as well. Just as there is the pharmaceutical and oil industry, there is also the arms industry. The US never wants the defense industry to shrink. What the US wants is to reduce the number of soldiers in Europe and shift them to other points. France is not largely dependent on the US, other countries are a little late at this point.

Russia has done exactly as it planned - they have neutralized about 75,000 of the best Ukrainian forces. “Denazify and demilitarize”. Everyone in western media helped focus your attention on Kiev and Lviv and had no one in the east.
Russians use Maskorovka .. and they kept Kiev and Odessa and and Lviv worried about defense of those cities and left their army in Donbas isolated and unsupported. Russians came in and used a cauldron strategy - cut off and fragmented Ukraine military units in Kharkiv, Sumy, Mariupol, Kherson, Mikolaev - and didn’t carpet bomb - instead they encircled and mostly took skirmishes outside city centers until Ukraine military targets were softened up and then they moved in when necessary (Kherson bridge head). Mariupol is denazification - 14,500 Azov fighters are in Mariupol - in city center - because Azov doesn’t care if the 80% ethnic Russian Ukrainians in Mariupol die as martyrs for the glory of Ukraine. That force is now below 6,000 and Russians control 85% of city - finally allowing civilians to evacuate only after being checked for Azov trying to hide as civilians (they have tattoos). I have 2 Mariupol women and kids here in Czechia where I help my family and many other refugees - they corroborate stories coming out that it is Azov who shot civilians dead on street, Azov who burned civilian house, Azov who held civilians hostage at gunpoint as they moved house to house hiding like cowards, Azov who shelled civilian car lines trying to flee. They captured one of the Azov commanders yesterday and paraded him in town square - civilians came and cursed him and beat on him before Russian soldiers moved him to safety - old women.. men.. cursing him.. “why did you do this to our house!?
