I just discovered this channel , so I subbed it. I have Preacher #1 , Walking Dead #19 , Walking Dead #2 and Batman Adventures 12. Sadly I don't have any of Bone's 1st prints lol. Even back years ago when I searched before it became a huge deal finding a 1st print of Bone single issues was hard. I'm shocked that 1st appearance of Deadpool or Venom isn't cracking this top 10.

Master Builder Chew is in the process of being an animated series, and Goon has been optioned for years. There is test footage on TH-cam that looked incredible

Preacher would have to be my favourite from this list. My older cousin handed me down the first trade (I was almost definitely too young for it), and that is 100% what got me into comics. It's still on my shelf, and when he visited last Christmas he was surprised I still had it!
So glad to see all the independent love on the list. The only one I have is Invincible but hopefully in the near future I'll be able to add a couple more from the list to not collection. Great videos guys, as usual.

Great video everyone. I think this series will be very cool. Have you thought about doing a top ten of books that had the biggest drops (in %) for each era? With the ebb and flow of prices, getting great investments when they're on the down tick might be something people would be interested in.
Goon #1 for sure. I was on hiatus from collecting when these came out but I got my first introduction to Eric Powell's work in The Goon: Once Upon a Hard Time then again when Big Man Plans came out. I was fortunate to be able to meet him at a signing he was doing near Nashville at a local shop and he mentioned that he too was a Tennessee native from nearby Lebanon. I got several signatures along with an unexpected sketch on the cover of Big Man Plans.
Wish I would’ve jumped on the Walking Dead comic bandwagon back in the day, it just happened to come out at a time that I wasn’t collecting that much. Glad to see Chew on the list. Good stuff, can’t wait to see the Silver and Golden Age Top 10 lists.
That's a strong list!! I have a Batman Adventures 12 9.8 CGC. I don't care if the price goes up or down, the book is staying with me!! lol Great video as always fellas!! Can't wait for more top ten lists!!!
My guess is that Chew, Bone and Batman Adventures have the best long term legs on this list. Batman Adventures has become a staple collecting key, the likes of Iron Man #55, Batman #232 and Journey Into Mystery #85; and the book is a desirable slab even as low as a 7.0. Chew garnered interest upon release but has simmered for a while. Even so, it wasn't incredibly over printed and is an original, over the top idea that will be supported on the secondary market if only for it's cult status even if it never pops beyond where it's at now. Bone has had a nice, slow burn from the beginning - a book that we all knew about since day one, but no one bought when first released. Everyone 35 - 50 probably remembers the Hero Illustrated Bone Special, but now can't readily go back and satiate their curiosity because the 1st print of the book is impossible to find. And once this becomes a quality animation, the property will permeate pop culture and that book will further become a solid long-term bet. Comparing the two only on a comic publication level, Bone #1 is the immediate successor to an Eastman & Laird's TMNT #1 first printing.
My favorite is the one you are giving away, The Walking Dead #19!!! Super hopeful for the show to curve back up with Michonne and crew taking center stage!

Oh, to go back in time. I remember seeing Preacher #1 and Walking Dead #1 in my LCS way back in the day. Like , they cost $50-100 back in the day. I passed on Preacher and thought zombies were stupid. (You'd have to grow up watching cheesy 70's&80's horror movies to understand). I did have some early issues of Bone. No idea what I done with them. Probably sold it for nothing. I'd have to say Spawn would be my favorite. I was collecting in the pre-Image heyday, and remember how McFarlane and Lee's highly detailed styles were game changers.
Chew 1 , I was at SDCC talking to Rob & John about the book they had issue 1 at there table for $50 , I didn’t pull trigger grab issue 2 that just came out. Walk the floor for about 10 minutes, walked about to the booth they sold the last copy

Venom Lethal Protector #1...I don’t have the black cover, but that book was the first comic I ever bought when I was a kid so it holds a lot of sentimental value
My favorite from Modern is definitely Walking Dead. I took a long break from comics and when I discovered Walking Dead last year, I absolutely demolished the trades and have begun to collect the singles.
Even though the Walking Dead comics are some of my favorite. I am going to have to go with Chew. This was such an original story with great artwork. I mean you can't go wrong with a Detective who eats things to solve cases, and the humor was wonderful my hats off to John layman who wrote this series. 😎
VERY pleased to get a black bag 15th Anniversary TWD #19 in my very first Mystery Mail Call in December! Also loved the Seanan McGuire signed Spider Gwen Ghost Spider #2 variant! Great, great books! More of a bronze/copper collector, but loving me some minty Moderns!
My favourite modern comic has to be Walking Dead 001. I had been collecting walking dead comics since issue 002 but never had a number 001. Then one day whilst visiting a car boot sale I found one in a box of comics. I paid £20 (GBP) and immediately sent the issue off for cgc grading. It returned a few months later a 9.4 Very happy. I now own a complete set through to present with every issue from 007 signed by artist Charlie Adlard. (With a few Kirkman and Moore signature scattered about) Still holding out on the Blind Bag issue 19 pencil sketch edition 🤞

the top ten book that caught my eye was the black error cover print of venom , love venom love that character because his intensity is so over the top it pulls me in and the raw nature of the relationship that venom shares with Eddie because they both try so hard to be a symbol of justice
My Fav is BA #12. One of these days we're going to get an awesome Harley Quinn movie, TV show, solo cartoon, etc...and it's going to go up up and away.

Erol Molnar yes, absolutely. I think that long term this book will continue to be in demand whether it is graded or raw. It’s been soft for most of this year, as there are so many in the market it is taking time to absorb them all. Probably a good time to buy and give you a bit of leverage to obtain a copy. What page is the top 10 modern comics on? I look all throughout the Overstreet 2018 and I'm not seeing it. I thought it would be in the section that has all the top lists but copper age is the newest age that I see, not modern.
Walking Dead 1 is my favorite from this list. This comic and the TV show really did a lot to bring more people to comic collecting and geekdom as a whole.
Found a Batman Adventures #12 for $125 had a soft crease down the middle no color break... got it pressed and graded it came back a 9.6 CGC....
I bought a Walking Dead #1 right off the rack...It’s the only issue I have...Boo Hoo for me!!

Hey guys I have a question for Jeff.. Jeff do u think it's still a good grab to get a Batman Adventures 12 for the right price in raw format? After Suicide squad disaster is it still a book to grab?
Erol Molnar yes, absolutely. I think that long term this book will continue to be in demand whether it is graded or raw. It’s been soft for most of this year, as there are so many in the market it is taking time to absorb them all. Probably a good time to buy and give you a bit of leverage to obtain a copy. I would have to say that Walking Dead 19 is my favorite on the list only because it’s the one on the list I have. I would love to get the other TWD books some day.
What page is the top 10 modern comics on? I look all throughout the Overstreet 2018 and I'm not seeing it. I thought it would be in the section that has all the top lists but copper age is the newest age that I see, not modern.

My favorite is Batman adventures 12! I use to have that as a kid and I am bummed out that I don’t as an adult.
Walking Dead 1 is my favorite from this list. This comic and the TV show really did a lot to bring more people to comic collecting and geekdom as a whole.
I have never seen that Spawn cover it is sick!! Now I must find one to buy lol.
