      @@Mc1997D No, it is ADHD specifically. ADHD is about impulsivity and lack of executive function. People with ADHD who aren’t stimulated by cooking will put cooking to the side and just pick out ingredients, dinners that don’t require following steps. Bipolar has no real analog here. Schizophrenia has no real analog here. It’s specifically ADHD. Now if the ADHD person was stimulated by cooking, that would be something different. For ADHD, if something is stimulating, it is strongly sought out. If it isn’t, it is strongly rejected.

If I lifted refrigerators, desks, chairs, sofas, entertainment centers all day and came home to that, we'd definitely be having a talk. We'd start simply at first. I'm not expecting a 6 course dinner, but hot dogs, mac and cheese and fries sounds awesome. Then when she's mastered the basics of things that boil in water or sit on a baking sheet, we'll move on to moderate techniques such as basic food prep; e.g. stews, lasagna, tacos. Things that aren't hardcore cooking, but are filling. I'd be happy with that, but if she wants advanced cooking lessons, then I can teach her how to bake cinnamon rolls and make chocolate or chicken fettuccini alfredo from scratch. P.S. Alfredo sauce is a pain in the A.S.S. to make from scratch

After spending 8+ hours working on code, doing minor chored and maybe going to the gym i usually have absolutely no desire to turn up the stove and cook.
      So if im home alone for the evening than girl dinner it is, because there's nothing better than a glass of cold kefir and some rye bread when no one's judging
      Also, you're not entitled to have a steaming hot meal all the time. If ya girl works too, its simply unfair.

      This is also a formidable answer. From my studies of my species, it seems most women resort to girl dinner due to cooking fatigue or burnout. So if you offer to cook that night instead she will likely let you!

    Yesterday I took the time to make a lasagne from scratch (the dough, sauce, béchamel everything) and an apple desert.
    If a woman is more impressed with snacks than proper meal we are done. She can buy snacks herself.
    If I make dinner it's a proper dinner and expect proper company of a woman, not the attendance of a girl.

      That violates the concept of the "snack night". the idea is that the whole household takes a break from routine of making a meal and instead eats uneaten snacks ( including fruit and veggies ) It defeats the purpose if one person cooks a big meal.

    • @connortobin3775
      @connortobin3775 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Brother, if the existence of snacks or the desire to have a night in focusing more on your partner than food is a deal breaker for you, you may just not be ready for a relationship. How long did all that take you? 1-2 hours if you're FAST? 3? 4? All that time spent alone in the kitchen, and your partner is saying they enjoy your presence so much they would rather have you for those 3-4 hours than what sounds like a wonderful dinner? I dunno about you, but I'd be flattered as fuck, and grateful to have such a loving partner

    • @JMS-2111
      @JMS-2111 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@connortobin3775 It was a fun three hours and my spouse had time to spend on herself while I prepared the meal for us.
      We all need our alone time and spending time together after taking time for ourselves is best, because you can take the time to talk over diner and truly listen to one another.
      Individual time is just as important as time together.

      @@connortobin3775this dude did it alone,but there’s no reason for the partner to also be involved. Cooking a great meal TOGETHER and then eating it is fun and you get to spend time together doing something nice for both.

    I would like to inform you that I, born in the fresh, good year of 2005 am very much capable of cooking food that my peers have described as no lower than „it could be a lot worse.“ thanks to the valiant efforts of my mother. She used the tried and true teaching technique of „watch me every single time I do it“ and what do you know ? It worked. Thank you very much.

    I’ve always called it a snacky platter. Olives, halloumi, Turkish bread toasted with garlic butter. Soft cheeses and cold meats and dips. A glass of cheeky red and you can’t go wrong.
