Thanks so much, Dmac! An hour or two ago I was cursing at the goat wrench after having it come out for the 24th time - and after watching this and working a piece of feeler gauge I now have a tubular tension tool that actually works.
That is a great tensioner you made. I have the commercial wrenches and none fit any tubular lock I have so I need to make my own. Great information on how to make one and what to be aware of. Thanks for this video, cheers
Just caught this video. I got into lock sport more by accident. A friend gave me some security locks. 2 or 3 of each . A tubular lock was the first lock i ever picked. . The most difficult was a 14 tumbler dimple lock 6 tumblers each side 2 from an angle. . Lots of head scratches. But hey that was nearly 30 years ago and still enjoy it. . Keep up the great work
Great tool!!! 😀 Nice picking!! I have that KLON tool kit Had lots of luck with it Sometimes I use a lot of the bands and use a rotary motion on the tool. Will try to look back in my videos and give you the video numbers. 🐈⬛🐈🐾🍻👏👏👏👏👍
Tool looks very decent Dmac aaaand works well. I would be tempted to wrap a thin coat of harness tape round the edges. It needs a sister tool now to do the other type of tubular locks. I am reviewing tubular lock picks next week. I find them hit and miss, say 60 to 65% success rate.
Grind the little lug off of the key - BINGO you can put it in and close the lock 👍😃 Nice one mate 👍 Mine was made out of a hacksaw blade and was decidedly 'rustic' compared to yours . Cheers 🍻🍻🍻
May be a stupid question but with the tools mine didnt come with directions, not in my language anyway. Did you install a pin inside the center? Essentially for same purpose as a tensioner.

@@shawngotti1444 yes, that's installed. I did get them (sometimes) working after much fettling. They're just poorly made tools
Thanks for the reply and the thorough video.@@Dmaclocksport
