As an older person, living in a 30ft MH...the first thing I did was rip out the dinette and put in a Lounge chair and some shelving. I will be looking to downsize at some point, and am not happy with the continued use of the dinette..they are incredibly uncomfortable and space hogs. Most folks over 50, can't comfortably sit in them for any length of time. Many over 50's folks have to sleep in a lounge chair, in addition to it being the most comfortable seated position for most. Hoping someone can design a space comfortable and functional for the over 50 crowd..Yes, there are a few models with double loungers crammed in them, but they only meet half the need...how is that functional? ie..needs shelving next to chairs not just above them, small folding tables for 'as needed' use and a place to stash them. With the TV in FRONT of the seating. Thanks...hope this gets read by the guys that design them...the over 50 crowd...have the time and $ to buy these too.
There is a reason why Sleep Number and Tempur-Pedic adjustable beds have become very popular as it is very beneficial to millions of people to have their heads in an elevated position when they sleep👍
Agree with you 100%! I hate the dinettes also because the cushions are uncomfortable and become soggy and soft quickly. I once saw a motorhome with no dinette, but swivel tables that attached to the two reclining chairs - and then stored beside the recliners when not in use! Another suggestion: with a washer/dryer in the camper, you don't need as many clothes. We launder every 3 days per person so really only need 4 or 5 changes of clothes/season. I would suggest the bedroom and bathroom be more spacious. Finally, seniors have difficulty changing sheets on a king or queen. We removed our king mattress and replaced it with two twins. Easier to change the sheets (I actually lift the mattress up to put the sheets on), AND, with separate mattresses, you don't bother your mate when you get up and down or move around in the middle of the night. We take our Berkey water filter with us and are trying to figure out how to strap it into the motorhome so it can safely travel without being broken down every time we drive. Designer challenge!! :) One last comment: we watch TV 0-5% of the time. Our MH has 3 TVs. How about providing an opt out for those who don't want TVs and replace the space with storage in the kitchen, bedroom, and outdoors where the TVs are? Pantries are a must, too! Stick with the workouts Matt, you can do anything you want! Think about fasting from 1900 to 0700 to assist your body with recovery. I am no longer a diabetic. I went from 266 to 217 in 4 months by changing my diet, adding exercise and fasting. Believe in yourself and you will get it done.
Exceptional Price!-But don't need the oven/Just need a convection-microwave/Don't really even need the stove/Would rather have option of extra counter space & storage underneath where oven is...
In these smaller units, I've always thought no stove would be better as well. Then I could get a portable induction cooktop and stow it away when not in use.
Every fridge can open both ways, she is right, you have to take the door off and just move the hinge to the other side. Go look at your own fridge, they all have that option.
Andrea you are right about the refrigerator... it could open on the other side. But you would have to change the door hinges side. Just like a home refrigerator 😊
Overall, I really like this one. I'm not a fan of the corner bed, but having the sink outside the bathroom makes it seem less cramped. I would also prefer theater seats to the dinette.
Matt, those bags are just fine for me. You can crinkle them up for better storage. Perfect for RV. The Class C and B plus RV reviews are my favorite. 👍
Once again you're both right-ish about the fridge. Those are extra screws so you can swap the doors to open the other way. It isn't a just. If you have a similar fridge at home take a look. You'll find a similar setup on that as well. It's common on residential refrigerators.
I do believe I read somewhere that most refrigerators have mechanisms to allow the user to alter and have the door open to their side of convenience. But then it could only open that one way unless it is configured to be openable both ways. Either way, both Andrea and Matt are right. At this price of 90K to 100K I would certainly be hoping for better quality interiors and some more pleasing cosmetic upgrades. Soft close cabinets and ceramic toilet seat is a must. Thanks for the tour Matt & Andrea. :)
Matt, removing 6 screws on the fridge door is NOT the same as moving the steering wheel to the other side. Andrea was correct although In this RV you would not want the door opening the other way, unless you wanted to lie in bed and grab a beer in the middle of the night.
Round sinks are like round buildings, plenty of waste space. I love the dinette and I'm glad you didn't try to wedge in more seating. From the floor plan it looks underwhelming, but actually seeing it, it appears well planned.
Love that a company is designing to a lower price point on a Sprinter chassis. Have a basic model that can be optioned up. Dislike the corner bed and the seams on the front cap. Liked the compressor fridge and dinette. A slightly smaller sink and flip up counter would be great in the kitchen.
Went to Lake County Illinois RV show, my two kids each got a bag. Part of me is not another bag! But then the bags I use all the time start getting trashed so a new high quality one is better.
This is a very nice unit and great price. But- If the countertop doesn’t fit a cutting board and/or a coffeemaker it’s useless. Give me a 2-burner stove in the corner and a small square sink at the other end. The dinette seems overkill for a smaller rv. I’d prefer 2 nice reclining chairs with a small end table between them. I like the little sink outside the bath, and that’s a huge bathroom for a small unit 👍. For a single person, the corner bed is fine. 😎👵
I was going to move down to the smaller, more fuel efficient, easier to maneuver, park and clean, c-class as in this video. But after losing my wife a couple years and meeting someone with 3 kids, in addition to my 2, it's looking like I may go back to the standard full size C class. Or maybe a bus 😄 Standard C's are much easier to work on and do self maintenance. The first time you have to go to Mercedes for service could cause big regrets 😉 Ford E450's are literally change oil, change air filter and done!
Wonderful review. I like this floorplan but would have preferred it without a slide. Even though I'm normally a solo traveler I do sometimes travel with a child that needs a front facing seat for safety. So, the dinette is a necessity (as opposed to a sofa). I also like dinettes as they give space for extra sleeping and converting to a comfortable daybed. I also like the corner bed as opposed to a folding or Murphy bed. The sink outside the bathroom is nice. The neutral colors are nice. Great job Coachmen.
I like straight "U" shaped dinette's but the rounded "U" shape is hard to lounge in for me. I don't mind the corner bed but the step up is a hazard for some of us. I would prefer a square sink to the round sink.

I do like the new chassis a lot. Idk where Coachmen gets this MSRP from though, it's ridiculous. I looked a this one last fall when it came in, they wouldn't budge on the price then, guess 6 months later they will. Oh well, bought something else. I did like the fridge, really didn't love how dark the interior was, tv placement or round sink. I think there is a solar on the roof though, so that's nice. At least the refrigerator isn't dorm size like the other Prism 24CB or 24DS or 24FS (which really have no CCC)
Great discount! I'm not big on the Mercedes chassis unless it's the 4x4, but this is an excellent price. It makes me sad that I'm not ready to buy something, especially because the corner bed is my favorite layout as a single person. Maybe by the end of the year.

Might be fine for a for asolo traveler, but not much to like. Dislikes: no exernal tv, twisty storage door locks, ccc, double corner bed (deal breaker), only dinette to sit, tv, sink in bedroom (no way) Like: rear storage, Benz, 40% discount.

No one uses the bunk... it gets purpose for storage, it's a complete waste Hate it hate it hate it on all of them. Remove it, open up the space use more comfortable reclining swiveling seats and more comfortable living room seating, the BOX concept is just OLD & Unncomfortable it's Dumb!

With front swivel seats the lounge chairs are redundant. Being over 60 sitting for long periods of time is rather unhealthy.

The bed is a deal killer on this. Had that kind of bed on our first class c and hated it. this one is too small for wife, me and our three Beagles

They should make that table removable to be able to use as a sofa when not eating or sleeping
