well he is pure darkness and light it's his main weakness, flashlight saves must hurt him a lot

It reminds me of a kitty cat smacking someone away with its little kitty paws
I mean the flashlights are powered up by the entity itselfs so those things are gunna HURT to look at
I mean, there is an argument that it is a baby eldritch horror.
I feel bad for Onryo. I also love that trickster fixes his hair and the Charlotte (twins) covers Victor's head instead of her eyes like everyone else

I never noticed how genuine all the killer’s blinding animations look. They really do look like they’re thinking “Agh, My eyes! I can’t see”
this is the same animation of generally getting stunned while carrying a survivor so they aren't really shielding their eyes and instead rince in pain from survivor's punches and kicks

There's a theory that the entity is watching through the eyes of the killer and that the entity is the one weak to light so even the ones without eyes can be blinded @@MBYui

@@WarbyGamingalso this helps with animating difficult characters like dredge, its movements are super weird and having a reference to how it moves helps a ton

Edit: forgot to mention this, you can see inside the slightly transparent part of the head, I’m assuming if he aimed down more you could see the skull in there.
Honestly hella funny with how Wesker has sunglasses but still has a little “ngah!” reaction before dramatically throwing his head back and dropping to his knees 💀

The flashlights are buffed by a lot in the realm. So Wesker's shades aren't goingto protect him.

I like the Dredge's one. You clearly can see the light is not only hurt but even scare it
It's so unbelievably hilarious that killers with no eyes and killers with not working eyes still cover their eyes. Especially pyramid head, and how Wesker is literally wearing sunglasses and still goes down.
I think the idea, in world, is that light burns the killers and the "face" is simply a weak point. Explains why Demo and Wesker are "blinded" by the light; they're being hit where they hurt.
Pyramidhead makes less sense but we know he's got a tongue/flesh in there so maybe there's some sort of face to burn?

Chucky plummeting to the ground after being dropped is pretty funny, and it's neat seeing him drag the knife back before standing up.
Singularity by far has the scariest recovery. The zip back is very intimidating

It's nice to be able to see the animations. In gameplay you don't get to see them often if your playing as the killer or when you're too focused on trying to escape from the killer as survivor.
I love some unique touches, like Sadako is having a panic attack, trickster fixing his hair and dredge seems like trying to make the light go away. Neat stuf

I feel like they did Pyramid Head so dirty with his animations no use of his great knife for breaking pallets, gens or walls and he covers his "face" with his hand like he has eyes right there idk i love silent hill and Pyramid Head to death and i will always feel like they could have been much more unique with his animations
But he has the coolest m1 animation though so I think as a big SH fan I'm satisfied.
He already has the mori where he slams the knife down, why didn't they just use THAT for pallets?

You can tell most blinds are based off the same animation until around spirit when they get more bespoke with them.

I always kinda wondee is the pain from the pain of lost connection with the enity.
Interesting fact: Wraith reaches behind his back at the end of his animation. This was leftover from when Wraith would carry his bell like Hillbilly with his chainsaw.
That flashlight must be bright as hell if somebody wearing sunglasses (wesker) and someone who doesn’t even have eyes (demo/dredge) can get blinded by that 😂😂

The entity is watching from the killers poverty (like us when we play) and the entities extremely sensitive to light so it passes this weakness on to the killers, and more so for the dredge as its a shadow monster it's biggest weakness was light already so the entity just compounds that weakness
