Yeah, I'm going to have to call out this "you can't bring girls back to your hotel" - is not against the law. The hotel might not be "guest friendly" but it is not the law. Freelancer $50+ would have to be overnight unless you are an over-payer or she is a 9/10. There are a number of websites which have freelancers who work out of hotels around the city. Some ask for $100+ but those would be high-end girls. You can have a great local girl for more like $30+ even in D1 if you know where to look. Having said that. Thanks for the video Eddie. When I first went to Vietnam over a decade ago I stayed at hotels in Bui Vien. Now I prefer central Saigon which has dozens of bars in easy walking distance. Bar girls can vary quite a lot. Some are super greedy whereas others are more generous with their time. It's matter of testing the waters. They are people after all with different personalities. One of them helped me out when I was hospitalized.

Bar girls will offer similar price, and still you can haggle. If they quote you anything more than that - they are targeting you in truth. If you have a motorbike while there, take a drive around. Freelancers can often be seen at the road side and charge just 500,000vnd (21USD) for short time. Outside of D1 you can find even cheaper if spend some time .

I got in took a ride home called a friend of mine on my cell and I told her about the worst night of my life. and guys stop contributing to these bad adult chat lines they aren't worth it.

If you want your traveling smoothly, I recommend that you should make friend with vietnamese at least 1 person, it might help you a lot. You don't have to be afraid about vietnamese feel harrassed or interrupted their life cuz they're all friendly and want to have relationship between friend- friend or spouse. Eddie, the hotel I stayed charges guests 300K (US 12.50) to bring in a girl after 10PM. The receptionist or security man at night is mostly sleeping but if he wakes up you need to fork that US12.5 also added to the all other charges you mentioned. There are online massage services you can use. They come to your hotel and sometimes they walk straight to your hotel room. They usually charge 600K for the massage (1.5hours) but for additional 600K for that extra activity. Then there are hot toc... that's another subject altogether. :)
Price wise i have yet to find better than Angles City. Some really pretty girls, they all speak English, Angles is big enough to offer variety and lots of bars for drinking in, and the £ to PhP rate is still great! Patts has more action but higher prices. Less farang due to the poor £ to THB exchange rate so probably gets the girls asking for even higher prices! A shame as i like Thailand and love their food......

It's a grey area, different people have different understanding of what it means. It can mean one room with one big bed (king/queen/double). Or it can mean a room with twin beds.

Eddie, the hotel I stayed charges guests 300K (US 12.50) to bring in a girl after 10PM. The receptionist or security man at night is mostly sleeping but if he wakes up you need to fork that US12.5 also added to the all other charges you mentioned.
There are online massage services you can use. They come to your hotel and sometimes they walk straight to your hotel room. They usually charge 600K for the massage (1.5hours) but for additional 600K for that extra activity.
Then there are hot toc... that's another subject altogether. :)
What are those hot toc?? Mind to share please? I visited HCMC but didn't indulge as it was expensive and I had 2 months ahead in Thailand..

Price wise i have yet to find better than Angles City. Some really pretty girls, they all speak English, Angles is big enough to offer variety and lots of bars for drinking in, and the £ to PhP rate is still great! Patts has more action but higher prices. Less farang due to the poor £ to THB exchange rate so probably gets the girls asking for even higher prices! A shame as i like Thailand and love their food......

as i said before , ho chi min will my first visit to vietnam, not hanoi! and you've just explained why :-). that said, i like vibrant nightlifes but bringing a girl back to my hotel is another thing. friends call me "low starter" because i wouldn't do short times. i prefer to date (girlfriend experience). that might take a few days before the choosen one finds herself in my bed :-). so if stay one month in ho chi min i'd date only one girl. can't help it, that's the way i like it!

Can someone explain what is a exactly is a "double room"? I googled and still a little unclear. Is it one room with 2 separate beds, or 2 separate bedrooms that are connected?
It's a grey area, different people have different understanding of what it means. It can mean one room with one big bed (king/queen/double). Or it can mean a room with twin beds.
Two separate rooms that are connected are usually referred to as adjoining rooms or connecting rooms.
