Okay so, I love my jeans! Everyday, dressed up for the evening and even (rather stupidly) no matter how hard I try not to, I always end up taking a pair away on our hols... just in case;) I love a good straight leg jean, wide leg and something more relaxed or distressed a little even as per the fashion trends this season. But there's one style that I have loved for as long as I can remember, and that would be flared! And thanks to the gorgeous Chloe collection we saw striding down the runways, flared jeans are back with a vengeance for 2025! Yes of course they do conjure up a bit of 70s nostalgia but hopefully today's video shows you don't have to take it down that train of thought if it's not for you. There are really easy, everyday ways to style flares too which hopefully today's video explains well:) But what do you think? Will you be trying flared jeans this season? Or are you already a big fan? Plus of course I'd love to hear everyone's favourite outfit I put together? Big hugs everyone, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts below, Jess:)
So, I am new to your channel and have been watching your videos for a week now and I can absolutely say THANK YOU! Your sense of style and flexibility to how fashion can be is very refreshing. Very inspirational to say the least. Cheers!
Hi lovely Jess .. this is all me ❤ loved this … flares and a hat ! Fabulous.. loved everything.. hope you’re well .. we’ve had enough of the cold now .. big hugs ❤❤
So happy to hear you enjoyed it Pauline 👯 There’s so much spirit in flares isn’t there, like a little knowing personality all by themselves☺️ Yes, so over the cold now, bring on that sunshine! Have a fab week ahead lovely:)
Hello Jess. I purchased my flare denim jeans about 4 years ago. I hardly wore them. I had a seventies themed birthday party for my husband's 70th birthday two years ago. I pulled the jeans out and paired it with a Johnny Was seventies inspired top and large hoop earrings. Since then, I have been wearing the flare jeans quite often. I truly appreciate all of these ideas as I will use items in my wardrobe that are similar to make even more outfits. I am petite and these flare jeans do add a lot of length on me. Great video, Jess.
Good morning Jess, you were made to wear flares! I actually don’t think that the 70’s style (albeit a lighter version) has ever looked out of fashion. I don’t think I’d be pulling out my mums bright yellow bell bottoms from back in the day but subtle variances look great 😁. Have a lovely day, the sun is shining down South x
Morning Karen, so glad you like those outfits too, really easy to put together but they make a nice overall effect:) Really happy to hear you enjoyed the video, always a pleasure!
Ooo I bought a flared pair of jeans in Florida! I love nr6 just a bit retro but soo chic! Love them all acctually! Well I love my flared jeans so new ideas are always welcome! Soo nice to see on a Sunday morning. Thank you Jess for some beautiful outfits 👌😘
Morning Jess, I haven’t actually got a pair of flared jeans. I used to many years ago. I might try a couple on and see if they’ll suit me. Love the outfits you put together. I’m really enjoying wearing the chocolate, burgundy and olive tones. I’m always drawn to those shade. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday Jess. Take care hun xx
love this, needed this, i bought a couple pairs of flared jeans late last year to look a bit more polished when i have a business (casual) meeting in person.
Aah that's good timing then! Great minds think alike hey lovely;) There was so much more I could have talked about in this video, maybe for another time, but for business casual I would have a think about those little elements that make a look feel more polished. Something as simple as a nice belt, a bit of subtle detail to draw the eye in, that would be a nice touch with a shirt and blazer look. A more formal/structured bag will help too and maybe try and tie in the tone of the hardware of both the bag and the belt to feel a bit more pulled together:) Happy styling lovely!
Love your videos! I always start my sundays with your inspiration. Bought a wide jeans last week, so this video helps me style it. Nice week to you Jess
I bought 2 pairs of wide jeans from HM recently & ive worn them to death. I wear them with a brown kitten heel pointed boot & i feel like it definitely makes my legs look longer. They are flattering & go with so much i love them x
Yes I'm totally with you there Viv! In my head I'm getting ready for Spring and lots of lovely linen blazers to style with them, I just need the weather to catch up with my brain;)
Hello 👋🏽 my friend Jess, Ooo, I like the idea of placing your bangle on top of your black jumper😍. Flare jeans make everyone look taller and slimmer including petite women like me 5’1 for reference 😄. Great outfit ideas. Thank you 😊. Cheers 😉🌷
Morning Jess, my favourite look for jeans, is with a blazer. I don't seem to wear them very often these days, if I do, they're very straight. Hope you're well, you're looking lovely ( nice new plant too ) Enjoy your Sunday xx 😘
Morning Lindsay, hope you're well lovely:) Yep totally with you there, jeans and a blazer is one of my favourite 'go to's) If in doubt, add a blazer! You should give flared jeans a try hun, I honestly think they can be so flattering. It's worth trying on a few different pairs, with different waistbands and maybe a gentle flare to begin with. I bet you'd be surprised how easy they are to style too! Side note: That 'plant' was an experiment with trying to create shadows that really didn't work🤣And I wonder why I have trouble squeezing everything in when I faff with a branch for an hour haha! Big hugs lovely:)
@FashionStyleEdit 😄😄😄😄 love a but of faffing though Yeh, know what you mean re flares, but something feels wrong and uncomfortable about wearing fashions I wore 50yrs ago 😄😄 I try to keep things simple these days Xxxxx
Good morning Jess, I love flared jeans, I’m so happy they are on trend 🤗My favourites a jeans with a cream turtleneck and the last one with that beautiful burgundy blazer🫶🏻
@ I have them both in light and dark. In winter I like the combination of light jeans with cream, to beat the dark weather😖I’ll be looking out for a nice white one for spring/summer😊
