San Carlos way is usually with the crown dancers + God father painting her. White Mountain way is this style, the godfather painting her without any crown dancers.
I've never seen a sunrise dance where the Godfather paints the girllI've always seen the Gaan doing that..hmm but pretty awesome..feels good to hear some inde songs too=)
I beg to differ, times change, if you think otherwise I'm sorry, but this video is 100% REAL, I didn't stand outside in about 100 degree heat to record something that is fake.
Have some respect for your elders. An 80 years old woman has much more wisdom then you. Besides, she never doubted your video being real, only that she's seen other things in her life.

Just what I needed, to see a pretty Native woman get covered in mud in a non-modern fancy outfit. I like seeing people in ethnic/medieval/amish clothing having a good time with mud. If I were a girl I'd love to have a guy put mud all over me. A+ Asperger's entertainment.
It is traditional regalia (not an outfit), so it is both old and new. It is not mud. The guy in the ceremony is her godfather; this is a religious ceremony. Please educate yourself.
