  • @BlueWithoutBiu

I love that this series portrays the reality a lot. I agree with Yok's mom, she doesn't need to be dependent on anybody. She can work like a normal person. I believe the first thing people with disability need wasn't pity, or sympathy. Just an acknowledgment that they are the same with us, and fair opportunity. That's it. Thank you for teaching us this moral lesson, Not Me series! And you gotta love, love Yok for showing his utmost support for Mae. ❤️🙏🏼

    • @mariaalejandragutierrez4009
      @mariaalejandragutierrez4009 3 ปีที่แล้ว +49

That's my exact thought about this episode. It's rare to find a series that portrays reality. It's not showing us how many challenges people with disabilities face, also the how societies and politics influence people behaviour like you should keep quiet and keep your thoughts for yourself. Godd job NOt me!! This make this perfect!!

I think Dan (Gawin) is deaf. That's why he didn't hear them enter the house in ep2. And when Yok asked him if he was okay, he didn't answer until Yok took off his mask. Dan was able to read his lips. And it's perfect because they will be able to communicate through sign language since his mom is deaf.
Update: Well judging by the previous episodes, Dan can most definitly hear. It would've been a cool plot though. I'm still really happy with Dan and Yok's story so far. Like that scene where Dan was crying in ep 8 was so good. I almost never cry during a bl but that scene really made me tear up. Their acting was just amazing and I love their relationship so far. I'm still wondering what sins Dan was talking about. Could he be the one to shoot Sean's dad. If so, that would definitly be a problem for the group's dynamic. It's getting more and more interesting and it hurts me to see the amount of views it's getting, because it deserves so much more

I like to see the progress and growth that White has throughout the series, as he said, it is the first time that he questions and is aware of his privileges, that because he has those privileges, other people lack them without let that be his wish. Other people suffer from deprivations that he never suffered thanks to the social status of his family. And it is not that he has chosen to be born in an upper class environment, but it is the first time that White is aware of how privileged he is to have been born into a family like his, likewise, the fact that he and Black have been separated marked them for life, While White enjoyed the benefits of living with his father, Black lacked many things because he stayed with his mother, who obviously could not give him the same quality of life that his father could offer him. And let's not forget that their father never contacted Black again, was not interested in his well-being and was only concerned with training White as the perfect successor. It's just that White was ignorant of everything his brother was going through because he was living a life of carefree luxury far away from there. He never stopped to think how lucky he was not to pass the hardships that his brother did. I think White is starting to realize that his brother didn't have quite as determined a life as his, and I think he's starting to feel guilty in a way for not being there for him, or for being the twin who was "lucky " of living a life of luxury so to speak, because even with luxury White also suffered the pressure of being the perfect son that his father wanted him to be. The way in which White learns more about his brother's life is very interesting, and the more he learns, the more the way he sees the world changes, understanding more and more why his brother is the way he is, and the why of their intentions and actions. Ironically, he begins to understand that nothing is black or white, in this life the decisions we make are an amalgam of colors too diverse to be completely bad or good.

You know what, one of my friends got 141 less marks than me in the High School graduation test and she is now selected in another state of our country studying MBBS where I'm here in my home shaking my hands. I don't even know if I will pass the entrance exam as I am too late to buy the equipment and start the practice. But she got a chance without giving the entrance. How??!! Because her parents have MONEY!! Partiality is everywhere. It really hurts when you see a dumb kid getting more opportunities than you just because they have a source or money.

Loved the scene with Yok and his mom, and how it raised topics that are often overlooked! I also really liked the scene before the interview, and how White's fellow applicant was able to finally open his eyes to his own privilege and how much his father is paving the path for him. I hope we'll get to see the other guy show up again, I like him a lot since he's able to put White's confused thoughts into context that White understands. And based on the opinions he's been showing, I think he could be an ally for White down the line.

Not Me touches on so many important topics and brings awareness yet isn’t bringing in big views bc it’s too heavy or isn’t centered around couples enough for some which is really sad bc you could learn so much and yet…anyways, thank you to everyone involved, I’ve learned so much, reflected and related to so many of the topics being raised in the last 3 episodes. Really looking forward to learning more…

Someone once asked if this was a thriller (heavy) and if it was worth watching it.
And I could just reply in the same way you said it isn't entered around the couples.
      Well my actual answer was:
"It is not, its a really good story, I would say its a good mixture of thriller and action and romance but it is not the main focus of the drama, it is a sweet and part of the story. Its just the cherry on top of the cake"

I know exactly how that person who White spoke to feel when he knew who’s White father is. Not by always protecting them from people who lookdown.

This series is an absolute gem so far, it’s already touched topics like classism, ableism and political corruption which is definitely up my alley. It’s funny because we all know it’s a BL but so far, it feels more like a drama/action sort of series. It's amazing how it shows how the privileged often are ignorant to the struggles of the poor, the disabled or the minority. After all, money, connections and blood will still always make people be ahead of the race in education, career and life. There is nothing fair until we break the cycle. This is not your typical BL!!! Amazing series from OffGun.
