    He’s a great defensive player and playmaker. What a point guard should be. PGs shouldn’t be the primary source of scoring, they should be the playmakers and help on defense. If they get points, wonderful, but too many people are under the impression that guards should do all the scoring.

    Ok so... I’ll say this. Best defender in the league, one and two, maybe the first defender, aside from “shot blockers”, that revolutionized defensive tactics. What he’s doing is entirely technical and instinctual. He’s killing the passing lanes!!! He plays with Zero expression on his face making him virtually undetectable, and the kid knows the game inside out. I stand by my word. The Lakers made a mistake when they traded him. Kid can ball! Go Lakers but this should sting a bit!

      if they win the chip then theres no mistake

    • @MrJRDOT1
      @MrJRDOT1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      It’s not instinct. He knows exactly where the ball is going. His IQ is off the charts. Also, he’s hecka scrappy and knows what the best thing to do in every situation. He strips a lot of big men going up and is a menace off the ball. I’d hate to gameplan against a guard that roams like he does with that sort of IQ. He’s almost like the guard version of Draymond. He’s everywhere on defense. Perfect for the modern NBA

    People who say Lonzo is a bust have 0 basketball knowledge they just think points is what makes a good/bad basketball player. Defense is sooooo important and Lonzo has a great feel for the game. He is able to consistently get blocks and steals and put pressure outside the perimeter as well. When he pushes the floor he also makes the other team's defense collapse and he is able to set his teammates up very well. Honestly I was never a Lonzo hater but he surprised me when he came into the league he could be an amazing basketball player if he just works on making his shot faster and more consistent.

    He's an LA Product, Kobe said after Iverson picked him apart in the finals one year, he became obsessed with becoming the best defender in the league. Ya he's a scorer but that doesn't mean he's above defending...like Harden. Lonzo shows true character after his fall from grace in front of his own city. Soft players would've taken it too hard and would've never recovered, instead this Man put his head down and silently let his play do all the talking. I like how this guy is a low key, character leader for himself, his brothers, and now the NBA. I could imagine the talks and confidence he gives his brothers after Lavar lays into them in his narcissist fashion. The oldest can be become a surrogate parent when the folks are ass kickers that apply that pressure with no empathy. Geez, remember when Lavar cut the boys off from seeing their Mom when she was hurting. What in the hell kind of parent does that? What I see is a team/family first, 1st born Son that aims to bring everybody up while shunning the spotlight. Because he was raised to be a Man...women want to be noticed(ahem Lavar)...Men want to be respected. This guy plays defense and dishes out assists on the court...but more importantly he does that OFF the court as well...Cheers #2...all 3 of you are gonna be lighting up the NBA for the next decade. SoCal(Lake Forest) Native looking on with pride

    His signature defensive move is on an inbounds pass he will hide behind the pg and time the inbounds pass for a steal. The passer never sees him til its too late.
