In Nov 2021, I purchased the Rize 18M from La Mesa RV in Sanford, FL. Apart from 5 to 10 minor issues, I really like my Rize. No buyer regrets from me.
@@jackdelia1014 The biggest issues were water leaks. All plumbing in the RV is plastic. Many of the plastic nuts on pipe fixtures were not tight - with one of them being cross-threaded. Easily fixed by tightening them properly and using Teflon tape on the threads. A handful of other issues were misalignment of screws and drawer track hardware.
Yesterday I took a look at a 2023 Winnebago Travato 59k....looked good at first but once I stepped inside you could see the shoddy workmanship. Poorly constructed and they were asking $123k for it. And then I drove it. Very uncomfortable drivers seat. And you could hardly recline it back because the stove top bangs against the drivers headrest. And the front passenger just barely reclines so you can't really lay back and relax during a long drive. Also, the Travato was a rattle box when we were traveling on the test drive. Can you recommend a RV builder that does quality work? Thanks, Jack
@@jackdelia1014 Just happened to catch your comment. Don't know how many RV's you've owned but they all rattle when riding on bumpy roads. Too many doors, hardware, loose parts. Class B's especially are so expensive because they cram so much equipment in a small space. You can never compare a class B to a nice quiet vehicle. I've removed the majority of the rattles in my Plesureway with drawer pads, double stick tape, rubber pads, etc. Yes during the pandemic as RV life was so popular they were making most RV's so quickly the quality probably went down. I saw the Travato 59K for $109K recently by the way. I predict prices may drop considerable later this year as a recession may force some major changes in the economy.
Nice overview of all the features. Thank you. This is a well thought out Class B RV with all of the basics that a person needs in a compact & easy to use platform. BTW, you have a great voice for narration, audiobooks or voice-overs.
@Girard sometimes words are the action. But when speaking about taking actions, I agree that words are worthless unless they are followed up with some kind of action. Is there an action of some kind you thought applied to this situation?
@Girard kind words usually take little effort. Same with a smile. Yet they can lift up someone’s mental attitude, emotional state, and add something nice to their day. Sometimes that’s all people are doing. Doesn’t need to be overanalyzed.
The vehicle looks like it would almost be perfect --- if it had a 3inch lift-kit on it. Also, Is the vehicle of four seasoned and well insulated for cold weather...
190 watt solar panel, has a decent heater runs off propane. Fridge is 12 volt, 45 watt. For boondocking, it depends. Are you parked in full sun and how much power are you using for lights, etc
Do you know what the couch dimensions are if you just remove the back cushions and don't pull out the seat? Am wondering if it could be used as a twin bed without pulling it into the aisle.
When i recently went to del mar rv show my favorite was the rize and the pleasure way tofino which the tofino has a Queen and sits and to me is more space comfortable only down side is no bathroom. As far as beds the tofino has a queen and the rize has a full size. To each its own i want the tofino it doesnt have gas and it has a poptop the rize i would only buy because the bathroom oh yeah and the tofino doesnt have a microwave which i dont ever use. So i hope this helps
@@thequestlivetolearntolive.8555 I think combo microwave/convection makes sense, the rize fridge is a good size. The tofino is nice but the bathroom is a deal breaker for me.
Nice walk through and video but honestly the only negative about the coach that I do not like is the fact that it comes with a generator the woman didn't demonstrate how loud the generator was there's no way of telling unless you go see one and have it turned on with the availability of solar there's no reason to have a generator anymore you just have an under the hood alternator and you're able to recharge your system and also while you're driving and by solar panels A lithium upgrade package should be an option so you don't have to worry about a noisy generator
Hmmm... I'm single and really like this one just for me. If I ever had a passenger however, the bed would not work. Only couples would want to sleep this close to each other.
I know they aren’t for everyone. I liked my black tank too, until we were stuck with a full tank during boondocking with no way to dump for a couple of days. With a cassette toilet, we could have dumped in a portapotty. Makes it easier to use the RV as a guest room parked in the driveway at home with no hookups too.
I bought one from La Mesa RV in Phoenix. Never again. La Mesa was rude and refused to even look at certain issues. I keep getting mice in it too. No fun. The door screen wasn't installed properly. The fridge runs erratically, and wouldn't even open at first, the charging system has issues, cabinet doors fell off. The in dash stereo screen is virtually impossible to see during the day, so forget about using it on the road. The bed had 4 rounded cushions that meet to create a large hole in the middle.....The list is extensive. It's a great unit in theory, but if a dealer isn't willing to fix issues, you are out of luck. Thor is currently working with me to help resolve some problems, but this is really way too many problems for a brand new vehicle in my opinion. This is the ninth RV I've had in my lifetime. This is the first time I've owned a brand new one and I've had more problems with this one than all the other ones combined. Quality control seems to be non existent. Mine is currently at a different dealer, so I will wait and see if they fix the problems.
How did you get the backup camera to work full time ? I have called Thor & they don’t even know, I have a 2023 Scope 18M, I couldn’t find anything on the front screen menu to change that setting !
Needs a few things. First improved bed. Smart move would be18-20 inch slide out with sofa bed. Include tv and entertainment system. A nice van but unfortunately prices have risen and quality control decreased on 2021 and 2022 models. For my needs this is near perfect. Smart moves are cassette toilet , superior for day trips and weekends, tankless hot water. Should include a cargo carrier that plugs into trailer hitch, also would like to see the table flip open to be used with full length of couch
I like the size but I am not sure about the quality because I saw some videos on the RV how some inside are coming apart 🤯 I understand the shaking and rattling would cost that but it should be addressed during the assembly not at the dealership trying to put everything back together 😢 that is three different video and three different owners they all complain the same thing water leak screw was not secure to hold thing together so I don't know about Thor RV It seems they just put everything together fast and no QC which is unfortunated people buy a RV because they want to enjoy the travel and the road not trying to fix the problem 😂
Don't buy a Thor as the Indiana factory puts out crap. Don't buy from LaMesa as once they get their money, they don't care about you while things fall apart when your trying to camp. It's terrible.
I purchased my Thor Scope 18’M from La Mesa, Port St Lucie, Fl
I love it!
Thanks for your comment! Happy that you enjoy your new Scope. Happy and safe travels!
I’m definitely going to purchase one, as soon as my daughter graduates from high school. 🙋🏽♀️

@Girard Sorry someone ‘forced you’ to read this. 🥴
This is really nice. Y'all did an amazing job of the walk through!!
This gives me hope on being able to get a class B RV.
Great...we'll see you when you are ready!
I saw the coach in person at Del Mar Van show. It’s perfect for our needs. Would love to own this
I love that the bathroom has a nice big feel compared to some wetbaths.
I love the RV. Thor's quality is not something I am willing to gamble on right now. Nice video.
Thank you for watching!
Great walk-through of this RV and at a nice pace.
Great review. This is the RV I am planing on buying! It is perfect for my needs.

Great review but I don't understand the difference from the scope and the rize
Interesting! I like it much more than I thought I would! 😊
Love it!
This thing is magnificent
I am confused. One the side you said there was a sewer connect but then you showed a casset toilet. I can choose?
The sewer connect is for the grey tank water from the sinks and shower.
My dream machine! 🤩
Does this unit work boondocking just running off of solar??? How is it in cold weather? What does the fridge run off of?

Am I seeing this right ? It only sleeps one person on a diagonal if only 5’7”. Seats 4, sleeps one. And the bed takes up the entire space?
Hi- what is the warranty( how many years) Does it cover the coach and the car??
The price is pretty important

Cute have preferred no generator option. Is should able to run on solar and battery.
There is a Lithium battery option available that replaced the generator.
@@highwayhoopify Is the lithium option available on the Rize/Scope… or only on the larger vans like the Sequence? 🤔
Appreciate the compact design and overview on this rig. Yet couples who are over 6 foot are hosed when it comes to bed. Gotta go larger van.
Hello Chris thanks for stopping by our channel!
What to do if the app keeps crashing?
Smart design and features I wish Thors quality was better
I'm in Melbourne Florida where is the nearest dealership?
No three point belts in back? And I really don't understand the wardrobe in the bathroom other than for packaging reasons
Looks identical to the "Scope."
Can more batteries be added and upgraded to lithium?
This has a generator for larger power needs or recharging if the solar is inadequate
There are two batteries underneath, and you could swap them, but the converter isn't set for lithium and you would need a DC to DC charger
