The L115A3 is a British designed and modified version of the Arctic Warfare Magnum in 1996 , still used by the British Army ,British Royal Marines and the British Air Force Regiment , i'm from the UK aswell . It did hold the record for the furthest kill but later the TAC-50 took this record .
@DONK1990 The AWM is a variant of the AW sniper rifle that is chambered for either the .300 Winchester Magnum or the .338 Lapua Magnum. It has a longer bolt compared to the AW, in order to accommodate for the larger and more powerful magnum cartridges. It's fed through a 5-round detachable magazine. The AWM that is chambered for the .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge has been adopted since its first introduction in the British army and in the Dutch army in 1996. The British Armed Forces adopted the AWM that is chambered for the .338 Lapua Magnum and designated it as the L115A1 and in November 2007, it was announced that the British Army, Royal Marines and RAF Regiment were to get an improved variant of the L115A1, the L115A3.On 9 September 2012, Accuracy International announced that the .338 Lapua Magnum AWM rifle was phased out and replaced by the Accuracy International AXMC sniper rifle

The L115A3 (Adopted in: 2007) is the third iteration of the original L115A1 (Adopted in: 1996), better known as the Arctic Warfare Magnum rifle (AWM). It is produced by Accuracy International and chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum. The rifles are used by the British Army, Royal Marines, & Royal Air Force Regiment.
The l115a3 is the current standard issue British military sniper rifle. The numbers don't mean anything specific just so you can identify the weapon from other British weapons such as the l85a3 (bullpup assault rifle), l129 (sharpshooter rifles), l86a2 ( light support weapon) and l7a2 (general purpose machine gun)
L115 is just the designation given to the weapon when it entered British military service. The A3 variant came by way of the SSIP (Sniper System Improvement Program) which was enacted by the British Ministry of Defense in 2007. The rifle is manufactured by a British Firearms Manufacture called Accuracy International and is an adaptation of the AWSM: Artic Warfare Super Magnum. It can be chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum; NATO has approved both versions. However, it is most commonly found in .338. And yes, I do go back and rewatch all your breakpoint content.
The l115a3 is the military version of an accuracy international long range competition Rifle and was first used by the British military primarily the Royal marines and the paras

The name of the gun is Accuracy International AWM (Arctic Warfare Magnum). L115 is just a British military designation, A3 means it's a 3rd variation. Kinda like L85A2.
L115etc is British model designation. As for AKs, the model numbers pre centuries gave the year when it was taken into use. The 47 in Ubi games is actually the AKM. Then came the 74. It was then modernized for export and also had versions chambered for NATO-rounds. 103, 104, 105. The AK-12 is the prototype for the new Kalashnikov, the AK12. That rifle is already in use. Persinally I miss the Groza from Future Soldier.
the l115a3 was a british design (as you can probably tell by the name) but the russians got there hands on the gun (i don't really know how) and improved the design
In November 2009, British Army sniper Corporal of Horse (CoH) Craig Harrison, a member of the Household Cavalry, set the record for longest recorded sniper kill, at the time, by killing two Taliban machine gunners consecutively south of Musa Qala in Helmand Province in Afghanistan at a range of 2,475 m (2,707 yd) taking 10 shots to hit the target, using a L115A3 Long Range Rifle. In the reports CoH Harrison mentions the environmental conditions were perfect for long range shooting: no wind, mild weather, clear visibility. In June 2017, a Canadian JTF2 sniper broke this record for a confirmed kill at 3,450 m (3,773 yd) with a C15 long-range sniper weapon (LRSW).
WillyB, when’s the last time you checked what perks you have activated? Use ones for sniping/extra drone damage when you do these kinds of vids. Should help some.
To get your gear level up faster do "Elite" Faction Missions or high level Wolf bases with gear score above 250 (Camp Kodiak). If you do them you will always get at least one or two pieces of gear that drop one tom two levels higher.
Hi Willy! So I’ve been your fan for about 1-2 years, just wanted to put that out there. My favorite series of yours were the WD2 one (watch every single one of them) and the Far Cry 5 weapon reviews, loved all of them. I really think you deserve more views and likes than you get since you are literally the most active gaming channel that I know of. Now I have a question. These GR Breakpoint series have catched my attention and I am wondering if I could get this gaming, despite not having played any other GR games and still understand and enjoy the story. Thank you for being my favorite channel out there, keep it up!!
Is anyone else having a problem with there scoop if they look at something that's not to far but kind fsr away and it's all blurry but some parts are clear? I thought it was the scoop but its not I was using the x6 then 5.5 then the 5 and so on to try and get it to arm normalbut it still stays the same blur.
Whoever told you the thing about ak47 being made in 1947 is correct, most guns with numbers in them are either dates or model numbers, p08, 1908, mp40, 1940, pps43, 1943 just to name a few
I know that Willy is referring to the camo color of his L115, but why is it that deserts are seemingly absent from breakpoint anyway? I love ghost recon breakpoint, but i don't get why there aren't any desert areas. Breakpoint has everything else, mountains, oceans, lakes, forests, lush jungles and fields. I find it very weird that ubisoft didn't put any deserts in Breakpoint, especially for how huge the map is.
